I thought I'd share some views from my man cave. I live in a two story round contemporary house with my darling girlfriend. The house actually has 14 equal flat sides (tetradecagon) so a lot of weird angles are used in the room layout. My man cave has 5 flat walls. The house was built in the early '80's and there hasn't been a lot of updating since then. So excuse the goofy wallpaper please.

On the longest wall, (3 flats actually) is my computer desk on which sits two G5 Macintosh machines. I usually work off the 27" iMac. My older G5 holds my Adobe editing suite which isn't compatible with the new Macs operating system. It has a 20" display and is still plenty fast for its age. It has dual internal hard drives and each are backed up to their own 2T external hard drives. They are networked together and print share two photo quality printers, an Epson and an HP. The Epson, is large format 11x17 but I don't use it too often. I also have a nice Epson scanner that works off the old Mac.

I have two floor to ceiling oak bookshelves that I modified over the years with alternating wood and plate glass shelves. At one time they were filled with 1:18 scale Mustangs. I have sold about 50 of the cars since June, many to Swifty members. On the opposite wall in the acute angled corner is a shelf system that designed to hold CDs, 1500 of them to be exact. All that music is ripped to my Mac and stored on one of the 2 Terabyte drives. I have the music backed up on DVD also and is kept offsite. I have been buying music since the mid '50s so you can only imagine.

With the old school CDs stored away in media totes, I opened the shelves that I just spoke of to Xmods R/C cars and 1:24 scale Mustang die cast. I have an almost complete set of the Xmods and each has been modified to a high end. The 1:24 diecast will soon be listed and sold.

In the several Hot Wheels 32 compartment displays are the few Matchbox and Maisto Mustangs that I have left. There is a custom made shelf which holds my 1:43 and 1:50 scale Mustangs mounted above the door.

Under the computer desks are 24 Jammer cases holding my cherished Johnny Lightning, Greenlight and Shelby Collectible Mustangs, Shelby Mustangs, Ford GTs and Shelby Cobras. Also in these cases are my growing Ford F series collection and Mercury Cyclones. I love the 53-56 F-100s as you might already know. I seem to be branching out to the panel delivery trucks and wreckers/crash recovery vehicles. I recently became interested in those Maisto Custom transporters. I have developed a sweet tooth for this stuff and it's hard to back down as many of you will agree.

You have an awesome man cave! I enjoyed seeing the pictures of your collection - and what a cool looking Rat Fink figure - haven't seen one of those in ages and ages. :)

Impressive collection! The place I spend much of my time looks like... a jumble of boxes, a diorama on a Lazy Susan nailed to a beat-up 1940s nightstand, trashy furniture, apple crates full of records, a stereo, a MacBook on an old steel desk, a dog bed in one corner, and diecasts everywhere... not gonna dignify it with photos...

These trucks are 1:43 Matchbox and Yatming. Most are from the Matchbox Collectible Series "Models of Yesteryear". There are several more I am chasing down. They are very heavy and detailing is awesome. They go anywhere from a few dollars to $100+ on the bay. Most of mine were below $25.00. I love them all!

Support your local demo derby.

Most of us can only dream of having a collection that well displayed. This is one of the cool things seeing everyone's collection displayed.

Yes, the F-150 is Beanstalk. It matches my 1:1 except for a few minor details.
