I recieved both of the Ertl Ford Starliners today in the mailbox... I purchased them both on ebay from two different sellers and both had hoods that wouldn't close all the way !!!

I had to take them both apart and cut very small spacers to add to the interior part to get more clearance under the hood... Since I had them apart, the red interior had to go in the gray one !!!

Painted them black to blend !!!

Better with dark gray interior !!!

Now both hoods close all the way !!!

I like the old Starliners. My dad drove a red one when I was growing up. To finally get your cars in and go right to taking them apart... I like that in a person!

The red one with the continental spare is a sharp looking car. I never ran across that one when it was released so it is one of those I hope to track down some day.

Sweet! That whole Ertl series was exceptional. Would be nice now that Tomica is at the helm if these came back around!
