Hey all! I recently went through a box of old family photographs from the mid-80's-2000 or so. I found pictures of my Dad's 1978 International Scout II. I attempted to have Tom Z. make one, but the photographs weren't that great. I found a couple that I'll post here which are less blurry. I hope he will see this and take it into consideration My Dad purchased the Scout II brand new in 1978. It was originally a seafoam metallic green with white trim. Unfortunately, the midwest winters took it's toll on it and he had restored it twice.. eventually painting it a Chrysler green and Ford gold. He sold it in 1998 when he bought a brand new Eddie Bauer Expedition. I really wish he would have kept it! We seen it around town a few times after selling it, then lost track about 11 years ago when I was 16. I would love to find it, if it still exists! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The picture above was the clearest picture of the Scout I could locate in the box. That picture dates to 1997 when me and my family were hit at 45 mph by a drunk driver. The Camry is a 1993. The insurance company didn't total it out and instead spent more repairing it in the end than it cost to buy a new car. My dad still drives that car every day, with almost 240k miles on the clock! ![]() My parents 1988 Toyota Camry that my Uncle Jim still drives. This picture I believe was taken in the Smokey Mountains on vacation. ![]() My Uncle Jim's old 1979 Toyota Corona. Someone here mentioned the Corona awhile back and I told them my Uncle had one. It was dumb luck I stumbled upon this photo. Enjoy! ![]() The 1970 Gravely tractor that my Dad owned when I was a kid. Just for you farm and tractor nuts! By the way... Don't make fun of me in the pictures. I was about 13, kinda fat, baggy pants, long hair and glasses. Haha. This is me now with my wonderful girlfriend, Heather! (Photo taken 9/15/12) ![]() I hope you all enjoy! Edited by SLWPAR, Sep 16 2012, 06:03 PM.

That green and gold is striking. If JL made this I would totally buy it. |

Sweet Scout! My Dad had a gold one when I was around 5 or 6. I barely remember it. Cute couple. |

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!

I'd buy both color combinations! And agreed- you two make a cute couple.

Thanks guys! I don't remember what happened to the Corona, but I know he sold it when my Mom and Dad bought the red Camry and sold him the blue car. Before the Corona, he had two identical white 1964 Dodge Dart Slant 6's. The story goes that both my grandparents who died before I was born bought both of them new at the same time. I'm on a mission to see if my Uncle has any pictures. |
