i have found that if you have yourself some Testors brand model paint (any color) and take a toothpick and shave down one end of it with a pen knife to use it as a "paintbrush" it works very well in helping detail your 1:64 scale diecasts. Steady hands are also a good thing to have when doing it this way too. I use it to add details on rims or add trim to a car or to color in and detail the taillights and headlights as well as side marker bulbs. doing this really makes the diecast look more realistic and stand out better. just thought i would share my technique that i use that turns out very well for me i also use very fine tipped tack nails as well for detailing small spots such as filling in the black holes in a front grill or painting the side view mirrors if the diecast has them on it Edited by scotthitman1, Nov 1 2012, 10:19 PM.
