Hi Guys; I'm new on the these boards.
What's the Keystone CARnival?
What goes on?
Welcome to the Garage!

The Keystone CARnival is a diecast show in Denver, PA (outside Ephrata in Lancaster County). There will be lots of diecast for sale/trade, gravity racing, banger racing (similar to gravity racing but four cars go down the track at the same time with no lane dividers), and everyone always has a great time!

I'm originally from Passaic County, so I'm curious what part of Northern New Jersey you're from. You should be within three hours of the show, and it's well worth coming out for!

Hi Swifty, I live in Lyndhurst. I am only slightly familiar with the area of the show.
I have been to the Hershey area a few times for the MBX show and amusement/water park and also I go every year to Macungie Toy Town near Allentown.
What are the date for the CARnival?

Everyone should start arriving on the afternoon of Friday April 19th, the show is all day Saturday, and we wind things down Sunday morning.

I'm at Hershey every year so we've probably bumped into each other before without knowing it!

If you guys were on the western side of the state, I'd consider making that trip to PA.

We've had folks come from Ohio, and even further away like Indiana, Missouri, and New Mexico. It's worth it!

Hot stuff
Quite a few of us get a room. It includes a continental breakfast, and allows room to room festivities well into the night!

Brad and Robert, you will be missed. I almost did not make it due to my work but just got the official go ahead.

So in a month I'll be rolling in.

Rich (carnut) and I will be arriving early Friday afternoon. I'd like to invite those who will be coming in Friday afternoon to make a trip to Outback Toys in Lititz, PA which is only 14 miles from Denver. They specialize in farm toys but they also have a "Collect & Play" series of JLs with paint schemes not available from the OLDs and WalMart and TRU. There is a gold Wagoneer with a metal base, a dark green International pick up with a white top and a metal base, and there's a metallic olive green Cherokee (plastic base). These come loose. (They might also be available at Tractor Supply.)
A few of us are planning to go so think about joining us.
Looking forward to seeing everyone! Only a month away!!!! :bangles: :woot:

Kiddie Kar has gotten these in also. Pity these will be the only JLs available at retail until later this year.

I wanna go.
Hey Rick, when are you & Tena going to be back to the hotel from the Green Dragon?

I'd really like to get to the hotel sometime between 1 and 2, unpack, say "Hi" to everyone and then scoot over to Outback. Should be about a 20 minute ride. They close at 5 so I'd like to have some time to look around.

Should we be worried? :poke:

You are welcome to show up this year, unless you think that's not nearly enough notice ;)

Worried that the 50-cent bins will be scoured? Very possibly.

I'm afraid I'll be off of spring break during the CARnival this year. It would have made a nice senior trip...
