Nice casting. I'd detampo it other than the Renault logoscript and add lights, etc.

Also excited to be seeing the 510 wagon and the Skyline.

I wonder if the Skyline that will be in this series was originally intended to be a 2013 Vintage Racer? The HW Skyline GT-X casting really would have worked well in that line.

The 510 wagon will be of interest too. Just when I thought 6 Bluebirds was enough.

I didn't know HW made any Skylines other than Hakosuka racer and Kenmeri street GT-Rs and recent models.

I'd like to see some 80s Skylines in the lineup myself, maybe a Bluebird SSS Fastback, a Fairlady roadster and a bulletside 620 pickup in street or period Malaise Era mild custom trim. They'll need Hondas (AZ600, 1300 Coupe, Beat, City Cabriolet and S800) Mazdas (Cosmo Sport, R100, RX5 Cosmo, REPU, RX4 Coupe) and Toyotas (mid-70s Crowns, Mk1 Supra, Van Wagon, 1967-70 Corona coupe, 2000GT, maybe Sports 800), maybe a Mitsubishi Galant GTO, Suzuki LJ20, Hino Contessa, Daihatsu Compagno and Isuzu 117 Coupe. Japanese cars are the new "in" thing for collectors, so it makes sense to cast non-federal subjects now, also since the majority of kids who play with or collect diecasts these days also watch anime, play video games, or both, Japanese cars feature prominently in those, vidya especially.

I think the future of diecasts, radio-control toy cars and model kits as mass-market items depends on car-themed video games, car-themed movies and TV shows (especially Initial D and Top Gear) and on the "Cars" franchise introducing AMC, Hudson, Zaporozhetz, Bond/Reliant (as Tomber, a stylized combination of a Reliant Robin and a Bond Minicar sedan), Zundapp, Yugo, rear-engine Fiats, 50s BMW V8s (Finn McMissile, a stylized Autenrieth-bodied BMW 502 coupe) and other cool cars to a new generation.

The Hakosuka is the 2000GT-X racer, just different ways to refer to it.

I endorse your list, with a few additions. Let's get a JZA70 Supra and a TE70 Corolla on the pegs too. :D
Oh, and an EF Civic too. Preferably in JTCC trim.

The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
Renault 5 Turbo? Yes please! This will be the third Renault 5 that Hot Wheels has made. Someone at Mattel has a soft spot for LeCars! ;)

Perhaps, but weren't the other two International only issues? I don't recall ever seeing either of them in hand or online in the states, unless maybe on a LEO card.

Any idea if this is the same casting or an updated version?

I'm glad I spotted this on T-Hunted, I was able to clear a few vintage ones from my bookmarks.

Anyone think this would be suitable for a Flying Customs/The Hot Ones release?

Wut wut!!! A Renault 5 Turbo by HW! How can you not like this! I think, just as much Matchboxes I'm not going to buy this time, that much HWs I will be forced to buy this year (hope you understood that!). Not this one though. We have no boulevards in India.
