That's BS about the mini-bus you made. Typical big-corp crap...

Hot Wheels had released a version of the Flintmobile back in 1995. It was a mail in cereal promo. With that said and in both cases, I like your work better.

Your Flinstone-mobile is WAY better. The Hot Wheels one looks like a cheap piece of junky plastic.

Nothing against you Steve but I would be honored someone copy-catted me. You could hire a lawyer but that would cost more than you maybe want.

Ther have been shortened VW vans since the 60s. They were pretty easy to do since there was no drive train to shorten.

I know Daniel... It's just a funny joke... Seems funny though that I do a custom and the next release is very close to it... When they first released the 65 Mustang fastback, I painted mine white and put blue stripes down it... Next HW release was white with blue stripes... Even the 55 Ford Gasser I did back about 2007 looks a lot like the 55 HW just released... LOL... I bring ole Fred Flinstone back to life, and there he is on a HW card... And my good ole "Bug~Bus" I did back in 03, now there's one on a HW card too... I think it's funny... I know they aint really copying me !!!

It isn't the first I seen copied from this site and only been on a month. Sure it won't be the last. I'm with daniel60 you and anyone else they copy should be proud of your work cause it's obvious they are watching. The Flintmobile I have from a while back. Not sure what year but it is a recast. Mine may be the size of your custom though. Yours is better theirs is more toy yours is more true to the show version. The thing that stinks is their design teams are so stumped that they can't do anything original. That is like the 2013 model not sure of the name but it's a purple truck body with a extended drag type front end with the engine inside the truck body. It would have been so much nicer if they had moved the engine to the outside hood area. You have a drag front end with nothing on it. It's like they said just put it out, I don't get what they were doing there. They must have creative block or something!

I did one for real in about 75 that was a rust bucket to start with. It was a 62 If I remember right... A 40 HP. bug motor in it pure stock... You could turn it on a dime and with a couple of buddies in the back, you could stand it on the back door... It broke apart coming down off a wheelie and couldn't repair that one because of all the rust !!!
I know they have been around since way before that... I got the idea from a 1966 VW magazine !!!
