Thanks to Robbie and Sam, and again to Dragnet. Will add more pics after I get stuff finished (with the last of my diecast, with proper bedding, with a better TV and cable in my bedroom on the old TV, my art on the walls, etc.

Thanks! It's already been titled "From A Buick Eight", but I will change the title based on your suggestion.

So tomorrow I get cable TV here, which'll be exciting since I love the History Channel, TruTV, SpikeTV and similar stuff and will be able to watch the major golf tournaments or silly "sports" like darts, billiards, shooting and table tennis if I want (that's all I have ever followed in the way of sports, aside from a long streak as a NASCAR fan in the 90s)

A friend of mine has their birthday tonight, and I'm being invited to Outback Steakhouse to dine with them...

Outback was delish, and our server was a very nice and rather attractive redhead in her late 30s. I finished my bathroom other than getting black & grey rugs and a black Dixie cup dispenser (pics coming), and learned that my '64 Cutlass did NOT get flipped and sold to Sweden... person who told me was either lying or trolling.

I'm awaiting the pics of its finished form from the broker that my ex & I sold it through and will post them here. I miss that car, but it needed motor mounts, a fuel sending unit and lots of other work, someday I might get me a Vista Cruiser, an OHC-6 Tempest or Firebird or a 215 V8 early GM compact to replace it.

Just cold & rainy here now. I got a VCR/DVD player today, am getting DVDs of true crime TV shows from W_Body_Geek at some point, got cable hooked up, and rebuilt my junkyard into a small city junkyard integrated with my import car shop dio.

Things are still going great.

Still waiting on the Cutlass pics to come... and I've had some struggles with my mental state lately, will NOT let the new place become like the old one was or for me to get the way I was, I'm going shopping for large-scale :toy: or a model kit (really wanting a Malaise Era car, an MGF, a Honda City Cabriolet, Mercedes 190E 2.3-16 Evo/Evo II or really any foreign car) later today, and have decided that once I'm financially and mentally stable I will take up graphic design with the intent of designing labels for adult beverages, organic foods and similar things, music album cover art, band and theatre posters and the like eventually.

Bought a 1/18 Mira 1950 Chevy panel truck and some bumper stickers today after being blown away at the cost of a no-painting-necessary Goliath Dreirad boxvan kit made for outdoor G-scale train layouts, and have been sinking deeper into a depressive state.

Here's a fairly recent pic of a young lady I've been communicating with via email and hope to go farther with, as in meeting in person. She is very nice from what I've gotten out of the emails, she LOVES mythological creatures even more than I do... haven't talked cars or diecast much with her.

I ordered a new front tire for my bicycle in order to match the rear. I bought the rear one because it is punture resistant and I was getting tired of having flats (always happened in the rear). Well, the new front tire is on order and I puntured the front tire/tube today about a mile from the house. I bled out slow but left me walking for about 1/2 a mile or so. That's the first flat I have had in the front.

Your problem is what put me off bicycles for years.

Hope you get it fixed soon.

I have 4 other wheels I can either steal the tube out of or put either front wheel/tire on the bike. I probably won't have a chance to ride in the evenings this week though because it gets dark to early. I have a bike set up on the patio with a stationary trainer.

I'm starting to talk to a girl in a more-than-friends sort of way myself, GCU. Good luck! Be confident, and introduce your quirks at a reasonable pace without actively trying to cover anything up :)

Support your local demo derby.

Been chatting with a lady for the last month as well. Hopefully i'll get to meet her this week or very soon. Would be a welcome distraction after my last relationship imploded a bit.

Best of luck to your Chris.

Thanks. Court-appointed psych reevaluation tomorrow morning... going to stay up all night and sleep when I get home, then probably email or Yahoo Messenger with my new lady friend after I wake up... loving my new batch of diecasts, and then I'll work with Brian at More of Everything between early February and the Eugene Roadster Show to clean up a huge batch of grubby castings that include all kinds of desirables. I am sort of a fixture at his shop, I appraise stuff for him, I help set up his vendor booths at car shows, I sell/trade to him, and work under the table sometimes...

Reevaluation was stressful, I had a wakeup call that the young lady I have been chatting with has been using me to cheat on the boyfriend she was supposedly trying to get away from, so I cut off contact with her, I get the last thing involved with my old house (notifying about the numerous roof leaks, window leaks, unsafe appliances, rotted wood and other things, and turning in keys/terminating my contract) tomorrow along with therapy... will be glad for January to end at last.

I know you might be upset over the situation with the girl, but it might be worthwhile to consider maintaining some sort of contact as friends or at least acquaintances. After all, girls are social creatures, knowing one leads to knowing multiple and if things don't work out as you wish with one, they have friends, sometimes these friends are better and more compatible.

Wow, I'm such a hypocrite, I should have taken this exact advice 15 months ago. :(
