RE: internal bleeding, is it bright red, or coffee ground color? If it is bright red it is *probably* not a big thing to worry about, hemorrhoids or some such. However, if it is the color of coffee grounds, get to a doctor quickly.
This is the basic rule of thumb. As long as it is red, and doesn't keep happening, it is probably something you ate, like nuts, or other roughage. Black is usually bad. That indicates something that has been around a while.

Rusty colored probably is just partially oxygenated, or mixed with other waste. and not something to be overly concerned about unless it is in large quantities or keeps happening.

This happened to me once or twice when life got really stressful. It turned out to be nothing.

Thanks, Dragnet. And now to shift the discussion away from diecast collectors' stool...

I'm going to get my hair styled/colored today (lopped off 33 inches of fried, stringy, dyed hair in September, I looked like Otto from "The Simpsons" before that, shaved my head in November), going for a less intimidating look and more to blend in with folks my own age. I hope it turns out well, and I'm going to be attending some events to get out & try to meet people since I am pretty much alone and unloved/unwanted off of the internet.

Here's my personal poop...with pun intended.

Been working at learning story mechanics these past couple of months. My little course/services intended to make me a better writer--or at least learn a slightly scientific approach story structure. Just about finished up with it, at last.

I'm a one thing at a time kind of person, so my writing sort of got put on hold until I absorbed what I could from this experience. Definitely learned a few things. Trying to apply them to a novel as I went along kinda scrambled my brain a bit.

Diecast collecting has been pretty slow. We got some JL r26 at the local WM, but nothing on the pegs I needed by the time I got there.

My neck has been pretty stiff from trying to cram as much computer time and learning as possible. My previous injuries have slowed down my learning curve a bit. That can be frustrating. But my zen lesson for myself has been to find my own way and adapt. It's how my life works. It's what I got.

Can I get an amen, brothers :P

School's going really well for me so far! Spring break is in about a week, so I'll be able to gewt a well-deserved break, and hopefully a trip down to the USA for diecast!

No new purchases of diecsat so far. I think I'm going to save my money for the USA ;)

I'm a bit of a nerd for the medical field, so I'm pretty familiar with the variations on blood in stool and what it can indicate, but thank you for the input since if I wasn't you guys gave a nice, concise run down of the potential causes.

I'm hoping it was food dye that had passed through, if it continues I won't post about it, I'll just see my doctor. Public healthcare ftw.<3

Whats happening in the every day life here.

Helping parents with bills for the time being. which puts my life on hold mainly. I tell ya coming here and buying and trading keeps me saine on that front. Half my check goes to them before i see my own bills. When you cant really do what you want or should be able to be doing it takes alot out of ya and bothers you to no end. I got my rooms packed so when i can go im gonna be going with both rear tires spinning.

Scooter, I was in the same boat you were in many, many years and I am still taking care of my Mom even though I no longer live in her house....LOL It might seem to be a bother and a hinderance to you right now but you will be glad that you did it in your later years. It proves how good a son your are and that you are giving half your check to them shows that you are obedient and respectful even though all you want to do is run for the hills. Just hang in there and the only advice I can give you is grin and bear it. Your parents are not going to live forever and enjoy their company and their advice. It will come useful to you when you get much older.
I have a friend at work who took care of his Mother and she passed away with cancer and now there isn't anyone to take care of his Father and he is on oxygen so now he is totally miserable he can't leave because no one will take responsibility for him. He is now 46. He never understood why he stayed home so long but he love his mother and now I have found out his Daddy is abusive so now it's all clear but now he is stuck. This isn't a story.

So I have gotten on the list for an open-mic night at a cafe/nightclub called The Strand in downtown Eugene that attracts a large cross-section of nerd/geek, script kiddie and neckbeard clientele as well as young autistic people, will be singing there (supposedly I sound like Bob Dylan or Manfred Mann, so that ought to be good), and have joined their Science Pub program, I'm hoping to meet some fellow nerd types (both male and female) and make friends, to reduce the crashing boredom and aloneness in my life. I'm also feeling the problems I had been feeling because of the first anniversary of my ex-GF Melissa's death, and those bad vibes are passing as the sunny season begins.

Also, I'm looking forward to seeing the rhododendrons and cherry blossoms bloom this year, to explore my new neighborhood further and to take my annual Easter Sunday camera safari in the forest park south of town...

Glad to hear the good all around, guys. I had a funky day yesterday. One of those, "My creative stuff sucks" moments that lingered throughout my day. But after a decent night's sleep, I'm not feeling it today. Just taking the day to veg and tackle my creative stuff again tomorrow.

And the possibly internal bleeding has taken a huge turn for the worse. If it persists and it's not due to the iron supplement in my vitamin-mineral regimen, gonna live large and enjoy things until the end due to doctors, including all of mine, being money-grubbing corporation slaves in this country. W_Body_Geek may be able to fill in details on how to access my estate sale (gotta fly or drive to Eugene, for one) to get a little piece of GCU of your very own, be it a diecast, an album of CDs, an 8-track tape, a piece of cruddy Goodwill furniture or whathaveyou.

Started moving my belongings into the new house in earnest. The garage is nearly empty now (it echoes!), but the shed at the new place is stuffed!

interesting thread.

well, i'm 23, living in the Philippines, a freelance photographer/Videographer earning P500 - P2000( $12-$50) for 8am - 10pm (15hours) jobs once in a while(and i do mean once in a while) a volunteer Photographer/Videographer at our church and used to be a volunteer sunday school teacher. i'm living in my parents house here(they are in the United States and come here every 2 years or so) , with a brother and niece.. my other brother and 2 sisters are in the United States. recently Got a Girl Friend whom i courted for 2 years(very satisfying feeling) and hope to marry her soon.

i am a greencard holder and go to USA every now and then, but i like it better here. and believe me, there are a lot of foreigners(americans, australians, koreans, japanese etc.) who've decided to stay and live here.

i traded my car in the states for walking and commuting here.

traded Job's which will let me earn ten times what i do here, for once in a while jobs earning practically nothing, but with very satisfying feeling.

traded it for what? for genuine Joy. i guess it doesn't matter how much you earn, what matters is, how much joy you have wherever you are with the simplest things in life.

A man after my own beliefs--good for you

GCU, sorry to hear this about the bleeding. Please let us know what happens. Hopefully this will simply be a side effect of stress, or possibly some medication. I think you should tell your doctors before it continues further.

I hope it's nothing serious. Thing is, that all but two of the only people off of the internet who care and don't have vested interests like friends of family, knowing them through school system from before my GED, or being my therapist, are dead from suicide, street drug/alcohol/tobacco/painkiller-related causes, motorcycle accidents and even murder, and one person is pushing 70 years old with one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel, the other is my diecast dealer, whom I do not want to burden with my personal issues. The whole town here seems to be people I won't be compatible with, and between letting my driver's license lapse in the crapstorm surrounding my old place and my move, some drama with my case management, not being on federal disability yet and having little money, I can't leave easily, if I do it means leaving everything that matters to me but my computer, camera and iPod and little more behind with the result being homelessness.

I'm going to probably see a doctor about it if my dad or case manager force me to, if they send me to a hospital (I hate hospitals) I'm checking out against medical advice to die peacefully in my apartment. I just want a peaceful end and wish more people IRL without vested interests care.

edit: Assuming W_Body_Geek (who I am in very close online friendship with now) learns from people on my Facebook that I have passed, I hope that he will let the Garage know. He is the only one who knows my embarrassing real name (Chris Garza is what I am intending to change it to after having been confused with a cyberbully named Chris Marek, which was my previous intent, and I use it as an assumed name for packages, magazines, pizza and Chinese food deliveries and whatnot, and also write & produce music and video under it), so don't be shocked if the obit he links to has a different name.

Good news. I am not bleeding internally, it's related to my iron supplement and hemorrhoids. I'm happy...

Also got my 1/18s, and FINALLY got my JL International pickup.

I think I've got to make peace with the idea that my Civic's days are limited. :(
The only good news is I make enough to qualify for a bank loan now, so I might actually be able to afford to replace it.

If I get an Integra or a nicer Civic, it's going to be named Witek, pronounced like the Polish name.
