The local boys are ready to head out to the beach and hit the waves with their new boards. The Beach Bomb, complete with surf boards, is one of those wonderful toys bought back in the late '60's when many of wondered what these Hot Wheels were all about.

Add a plastic roof to a new casting these days, and we all cry fowl for pinching pennies too tightly, but something like this, most people will go ga-ga over.

I've never warmed up to the side mounted surfboard boxes. Yes, I am aware of the history behind why they are there, but they have never won me over, and this casting of the VW Bus is one I do not own, and have no desire to track down.

Those are fun pictures, John - and the "flower power" is not a detail that I overlooked!

Those flower power stickers (decals) seemed to come with every Hot Wheel that didn't have racing meatballs...my brothers and I had them plastered everywhere!

I could see right off that was original...and in stellar shape, too. Kudos for such an awesome survivor!
