Hello everybody,

As you know I am a Mopar car fan (MOPAR OR NO CAR!!!) And recently a Discountinued model was relaunched, Yes it is : The Viper....
The first Viper prototype was tested in January from 1989. Was presented in the Detroit auto show in 1992. It was dicountinued from the line in 2010. Was announced a new prototype for 2012, And in 2013 was started the production.

HW Launched this Cast in a 2012 Line, And i want to show it to you :D

As you see, It's beatiful, When I see it - I get In loved of it...Normally I don't have much Exotic Sport cars (Lambos, Ferraris, etc...) But some times I can make an a exception ;) And I think this car is More Like a Muscle Car than a Exotic or Sport car... What do you think?

Posted Image

The car is painted Like the real car, A Dark Red Metallic, It has Stripes crossing for the Trunk, roof and ends in the Hood, The laaarge Hood - Where down is supossed to be the POWERFUL 8.6 Lt. V10 engine B)

I think the thing I liked more of this Casting is the Detail it has on it, Look at those Tailghts, I like the shape - It reminds the ol' Viper GTS from the 90' but it has that modern style.

The wheels Look good in this vehicle... I think so. But Hot wheels Did it again! Rear wheel is bigger than the front one... It will be A LOT cooler if Both wheels be same size, Albeit......In the real Viper the front wheel is 20'' (Im not sure) And the back Is 22'' (Im not sure)...xDDDDDDD

The front is Treathtening, It has a good tampo placing, and it has a good Headlight Style.

Look at the side of the car....Its Amazing!...This car is AWESOME!

In this picture you can see the interior, And what I can see is that is very very detailed...Look up to those cupholders...You coffe will not pour again.. :D

It for sure is a Hot Wheels release. The wheels are being referred to (from what I know) as J5s. They first appeared in the 2010 Night Burnerz series.

Nice sequence of pictures, yes it is a beautiful automobile with a great history. It is a short history, I'm glad they brought it back.

You can see the shift in that Hot Wheels now produce the more realistic and Matchbox produce the type that is best suitable to the toddler market, very bright colors and mega loads of plastic.

I hope to find this in a UK store soon.

Nice review! Yeah, the Viper has been one of my favourite sports cars from America. Now though, its not a sports car anymore, its a full-fledged supercar. And Hot Wheels did an excellent job on this one. It's spot-on. The colour, the stripes, the interior, the wheels (yeah the wheels too) everything is near perfect (I miss the taillights, though). And yes, this HW came out before the real car. Now I can't wait for HW to release one in gloss black with beige interior (you know where I saw this one!) and no useless tampos. Please HW, do that one for me!

Hw should do that....I was in the SRT official webpage - And i see some color combination for the interior of the Viper, There was a Orange w/ black, and a Beige w/ black, and red w/black............... Thanks everybody for comments! :D

The casting is really nice, only to be let down by uneven paint. Still, thanks for sharing.

Yeah. I love this casting. The Hot Wheels version captures the lines and look of the real car perfectly. I can safely say that this is my favorite release of this casting. I would love to grab the NY auto show version without the stripes so that I can have two different variations in my collection. Absolutely worth MORE than a buck, IMO.

JoeX - did you take the photo of the Stratos? If so, was it in a German city near Heidelberg / Frankfurt? My wife and I were possibly at that very show on vacation a few years back.

I too share your love and enthusiasm for the Viper. I have always maintained that if I ever hit the lottery a Viper will be my VERY first purchase. At $100k it is a bargain when compared to the other supercars of the world. The Viper held the course record on american Top Gear for 2 seasons until they had to resort to a full race AWD 800hp rally car to finally beat it. The other cars in the competition were the likes of higher end Ferraris, Lambos. Vettes, etc. so like I said $100k sounds cheap in comparison.
