As I mentioned in the cars spotted thread, I went to the Chicago Auto Show. I was able to get my hands on some Hot Wheels cars that I found at one of the diecast vendors. One of the ones I bought was this one, but with the blade wheels. I was wondering which one is rarer and worth more. I figured if anyone would know, it would be you guys. These are the wheels it has. ![]() It also appears that mine is a bit of a darker blue. Huh. Edited by JoeX, Feb 15 2013, 01:26 AM.

According to what I've found online (2000 Circus on Wheels #3), the one with the saw blade wheels is 'worth' more and appears to have less produced than the wire spoke version. To me, it's only worth what someone is willing to pay and few recent Hot Wheels are 'rare'. I try to shy away from that term. There is a carded saw blade version selling on eBay right now (#200892726878). Take a look at what it winds up selling for. That will give you an idea of the current market value. Cool find. I've always liked that casting.

So, mine is the less common variation. Cool! I feel happy about that. Thanks, man. I appreciate it. |

I'm pretty sure those are still fairly common though. There are many cars from that time that came with 3+ different wheels, with more than one style being easy to find. |

Ah, well. Always nice to be able to add an older Hot Wheels car to my collection. Especially an all-metal one. |

All-metal cars are great! Compare them to the plastic-y feel of those 5-pack cars from the 90's with the all-plastic bases, and you can feel the difference.
