Was lucky enough to get this about 20 years ago. Now I need to find the Cuda and the Stang.

I sent away hoping for a Boss Hoss...and got the King Kuda. I'd settle even for that one now, but I sure was disappointed back then.

My dad's got one of those, might be in a bit better shape. Are they particularly desirable?

As always with redlines, condition is key.

They aren't particularly rare...but you did have to mail away for them so they are kinda special in that sense. I've only seen one complete club kit still in the mailer with a "mint" car, and it brought over $300.

The cars alone in decent shape can go from $20 for the Cuda to maybe $50 for the Camaro. If they are really nice, it goes up quickly from there, and you can find the Mustangs and Camaros at more than $100 often...whether they sell at that is another matter, but I think they do sell pretty close to that, but only if they are really nice.

This car is actually in much better shape than my pic shows. It's hard to get a good pic of this thing, but it's actually very very nice. Far above what my pic makes it look like. As for the Cuda, that is the one I'd love to have more, (after all, I am a Mopar guy), but I'm happy to have gotten this one. I'll try to get a better pic of it.

The only serious detraction I see is the wheel chrome. My guess is this guy went down the orange track a few times like he was made to do...but the track wears quickly on the wheel chrome...Toppers had the same problem. So yours is definitely played with but otherwise well taken care of. This is where replacing the wheels comes in...as we are reminded, they are only original once. Having said that, a new set of shoes would make this one POP! But then it's not original. So it becomes a judgment call. An unscrupulous person might swap the shoes and try to pass it off...something I would not recommend doing both for ethical reasons and because a guy that really knows his redlines can spot the new shoes. However, if (presuming this were to come to sale at some point) the new shoes are properly disclosed and the piece priced accordingly, I think it would do very well. But even with the worn originals, it is a very nice piece worthy of being in any redline collection.
