I was ready to ask if this was new or vintage...I presume vintage then? Very nice! (Dummy me, just realized I was on the Majo board...thought when I first wrote that I was on the Tomy board! )

Haha no worries! We have so much diecast going on that I do the same thing! This one is a Thailand release with chrome, so looking 1990-1995 to be more specific. |

I have a few colors on this limo. The antennas broke off the one I had as a kid, but a better condition replacement has since been found. What model Mercedes is this based on? The rear end looks like a 300 E, while I see S-Class in the front end. Anyone have any insight? |

Hi Dean. This definitely looks like the 300 E rear end to me. I think Realtoy did a copy of this model also. In the 90s, Road Champs also did a Merc stretch limo which I also thought was a rip-off of the Majo, but on closer inspection this one's clearly based on a 500/560 SEL, quite different from the Majorette. I guess the Road Champs should be a lot easier for collectors in the US to find than it was for me here in Europe

W140 600 SEL, not 500E. I have the Realtoy copy of this, which has no antennas and all opening parts but the sunroof cast shut... |
