The car crane for today is Tomica's Tadano Rough Terrain.

Wikipedia.com

Tadano Ltd. (株式会杜タダノ Kabushiki gaisha Tadano?, commonly referred to simply as Tadano) is the largest Japan-based manufacturer of cranes and aerial work platforms.

Rough-terrain cranes have a single cab located on a rotating superstructure and drives on two axles. Driving these cranes is typically restricted to jobsites because of the low travel speed, though some cities and countries do allow rough-terrain cranes to be certified for street use. As the name implies, these cranes are capable of traversing very rough terrain to reach their working location.

It sure is a nice change!! This one really LOOKS heavy duty.
This would be a good piece of equipment for dragging out all the Volvos and Renaults people dump into lakes.

I've got a tadano crane as well, but it's the modern version. I'm liking this one though!

Neat to see a construction model as COTD feature. Tomica makes a lot of nice construction pieces - at one time I had quite a few of those models but in an earlier downsizing sold most of those to a construction collector in Florida.

Must. Get. A. Tomica!

I looked up the modern one that Terence has, and I'm convinced that I need it. I think that this older version is just as stellar, though!
