C6 Corvette Z06 showdown! Greenlight vs. Tomica vs. Hot Wheels Front view Left to right - GL, Tomica, HW 2012 New Models, HW 2007 Mystery Car ![]() Rear view ![]() Greenlight ![]() ![]() ![]() Tomica ![]() ![]() ![]() Hot Wheels 2012 New Models ![]() ![]() ![]() Hot Wheels 2007 Mystery Car ![]() ![]() All of them are pretty much, if not exactly, the same size. The Tomica box said 1/64 scale. Sideview mirrors FTW! Obviously, the GL wins by a landslide. ![]() However, the HW 2012 New Models release is fantastically awesome. Love them wheels! The Tomica isn't too bad either. Then again, I have a soft spot for Tomicas. ![]() Not sure if the 2007 HW Mystery Car is a Z06. Too many pics? I can cut some out if necessary. |

The amount of pics are fine! Great job on the review! I do agree with you about the Greenlight, it's just a stunner! However, it is a $6 car compared to the $1 Hot Wheels and the $3 Tomicas. The 2012 Hotwheels version looks great, especially with those wheels! Also, the Tomica is a good looker too! Opening doors are awesome! |

I would agree that the more recent Corvette Z06 offering from Hot Wheels exceptional, and is the winner. Although the Greenlight is detailed to a much higher standard, it's too small and the front fascia, particularly the lights, don't look quite right. The Tomica's proportions are way off, particularly in the front, once again. It sits way too high, and those traditional wheels do not like the Corvette. So, surprisingly, I like the 2012 HW the best! |

My vote goes to the HW Z06. Love that casting. |

This was a great comparison. Thank you for all the pictures! The Tomica just does not look good to me. I would say it ends up at the end of the pack, despite the cool opening doors. The Greenlight is a good looker, and wins this for me, but I agree that the 2012 Hot Wheels is a really, really, REALLY good dollar car! |

The 2007 HW is not a Z06. The 2012 is fantastic...except for those ridiculous rear wheels. The Z06 is a road course machine, not a drag racer. I agree that the Greenlight is the best, I've kept one in my colelction despite it being orange and a GM. |

Each has its merits, and distractions, but the real value rests with the HW, a lot of play value for $1.37 plus tax. Boy it is hard to compare a $6 car with a HW, the Greenlight is a stunner. |

I actually disagree.. I absolutely love Vettes but for some reason, the GL doesn't do it for me and therefore not worth the $5-$6. I think the fault with the GL lies in the rear end - it's raised way too high. Where the proportions of the rear fender look good, I the chassis sits too high, and the tires too big, causing to to rise too high. The HW on the other hand, it's fender is too small and tire is too big but both seem to cancel each other out, and at 1/64 scale, no one can really tell but just looking at it, it's proportions actually end up 'looking' more like the real thing - low and wide, while the GL gives the impression of narrow and tall. However, the GL version of the C6R *IS* a stunner IMHO. Anyway that's my justification of why I prefer the HW (plus you save at least $3-$4 over the other 2). Funny because my brand preference is without a doubt Tomica -> GL -> ...somewhere further down the totem pole -> HW. Edited by clem24, Sep 24 2013, 10:17 AM.
