While at my local WalMart I picked up this Fire Rescue 5 Pack:

This is a cool set, although the red plastic on the Explorer looks real cheap, I think I'll take it apart and paint with a darker red to give it a better look. I need to detail the ambulance and fire trucks.

And I also picked up the Road Grader:

I really like this grader, looks real good and very realistic. Will make a good complement to my collection of "Road Crew" vehicles.

I picked up the 5 pk as well even though I already had 4 of the 5 models, but I needed to get that Dennis Sabre too, and what makes it even better is that it might be the last Dennis Sabre we get with a metal body, that is with the ambassador letting us know in one of the reports that it is going to be retooled to a plastic body with metal base.

Nice finds! I'm liking the 5 pack, but the only one that I want is the ambulance.

For the explorer, I recommend taking it apart and painting the red part a flat black. I did that, and I think that it turns out very well.

I picked up two of the fire trucks and the ambulance when they were in the "60th anniversary special blister cards" but still need to get the Explorer and Dennis so suppose I may have to buy the entire five pack.

Why is this 5-pack (and its predecessor) called the EMT 5-pack, when the set as almost nothing to do with EMS. I wonder why the Explorer is marked as a Fire Chief's car when it should be a rapid response or EMS supervisor's car. Why are there two fire engines, yet only one ambulance?

I thought I was going to have to get this 5-pack to get the Dennis Sabre as I had two of the ladder and none of the fire engine version, but I ended up finding that one at a local flea market. I will get this one but only for the Metro Ambulance Service ambulance. Anyway, why can't the Explorer match the ambulance (Its color and windows already do) by being decorated as a EMS supervisor unit or a fly-car.
