Of all the cars in my collection, I thought Greenlight was way out front in detail and fine quality. I recently purchased this Auto World 67 Mustang and compared it to a Greenlight 67 Mustang. The bodies are almost identical. The wheels on the other hand are way off on the GL. I never noticed this until I sat the two side by side. These AWs are suppose to be true to scale and I must say it looks to me they are dead on.Quality, and detail are a close tie in my opinion, but the scale factor puts the AW way out front ! Now you be the Judge, it's easy to tell the GL from the AW ! Greenlight 67 Mustang GT: ![]() Auto World 67 Mustang GT: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I totally agree. The early GLs had garishly oversized wheels/tires. Feedback through the Under-the-Hood forum was enough to make GL change there ways. They are spot-on with their current offerings. |

I'd take the AW over the GL in this case. As Jack said though, GL is pretty good with their current models. |

I've always notice how oversized GL's wheels were but I took it as GL trademark. By itself, the GL can easily hold it's own and I wouldn't be embarrassed to own one. Here, the AW takes the easy win - wheel size, and the crisp panel lines really do it for me. But the GL has the disadvantage of being that casting that's what, about 4 years older? So in that light, I think the GL is perfectly acceptable, and again, until you scrutinize them both in photos, you'd be hard pressed to see any differences in real life. The conclusion though is that the consumer is the winner; models will just keep getting better and better!!! |
