Lets start from the beginning !!

This past July, I attended the MC Gathering in NM . During my time there , there is a lot of in room trading , going from attendees rooms to rooms finding new die cast treasures.

I happened upon Russel Olsen's room, ( vettoys ) , he had come across an old '70's child's sleeping bag , a little frayed and abused. On the sleeping bag were pics and names of MB models . his wife suggested he cut out the model panels and make pillows out of them. The sleeping bag has the pics on both sides, so there is a set of all of the models.

Of course Russel kept the Corvette panels for himself. So as i was looking thru his stuff, he mentioned the story above. yes they were a little thread bare and faded, but they were SOOOOO COOL !! I couldn't resist to buy a few, as well as others gobbling them up.

I bought 7 over all and passed on a few to my friends in there bought state , just as rough panels .

The rest I took and ran with Russel's wife's idea . I had some pillows made !!

And after a few weeks walla !!

Here they are !!

I picked the motor home and Ford Courier for myself, the refuse truck for my friend Kenny, a '57 Chevy went to a flea market customer , and a Citroen went to Christian as he loves this model. There were many more, but I didn't want to be greedy.

They turned out a little smaller than I anticipated, but I am VERY HAPPY with the results !! They will take up a prominent position in my toy / gun / storage room !!

thanks for looking !!

About 8 years ago, I had room for a twin bed in my toy room, and we wanted it to blend in with the room, so we went to JCPenny's and bought a twin HW comforter set, nothing MB around at this time. looked alright, well the bed had to go, and so did the HW comforter.

It's interesting how much licensed things are made for a popular toy brand

When I was little, I had a T-shirt with a tanAirlift helicopter on the front

I also had a Hot Wheels sweat suit, and a pair of Hot Wheels shoes (I believe I got them for the car they came with).
