Been hunting everywhere for a 1/43 scale '50S COE Ford, couldn't locate one so made my own. A donor '56 pickup cab, some cutting and filing and here it is. This is the first, I have a few more spare cabs, so more to come.

Job done, paint work is intentional, the chassis is one of those pull back things. Will change that out when I get a suitable replacement.

Not quite authentic, trouble with the doors on this one. Another on the bench as we speak, will address the door problem with that one.

Good to be back on the garage.

George! Nice to see you back. That is a fine looking wrecker. A lot of patience and hard work has gone into that project I'll bet.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses. HIT IT!

...there are car enthusiasts and there are those whose only concern is whether or not their next Camry is beige or metallic silver.

This was the inspiration, hopefully I pulled it off. Then there are the next ones I want to do. Have a few cabs and noses left over in the scrap box.

Watch this space...........
