The next wave of Jada Hero Patrol cars has been released according to Manny's Diecast and Police Car Models. -

'56 Chevy Bel-Air: San Francisco
'13 Ford Police Interceptor: Oklahoma City and Pittsburgh
'10 Ford Crown Victoria: Texas Department of Public Safety
'10 Dodge Charger: Nevada State Police
'10 Chevy Impala: Arizona Dept. of Public Safety (appears to be a re-issue)

I am very excited for the new models - both the new castings (a '56 Chevy SEDAN - finally! That will be awesome!), and the Nevada Charger.

The Arizona Impala is in fact a re-release (originally from Wave 1), and the Texas Crown Vic is as well (originally from Wave 3).

Thanks Dean - I thought the Texas DPS one and should have taken the time to check the various wave releases. I am looking forward to the Oklahoma City Interceptor.

Looking at the pics on eBay, it looks like the 56 Bel Air is actually a fairly small casting. Should be close to 1/64 based on how small it is proportionately to the package, versus the other cars. The Interceptor (Taurus) looks good, but appears to be large like the other castings. I'm still very happy these are continuing to be made.

Tri-Five sedan? Finally! How about a non-Nomad wagon next?

I'm going to have to get those Police Interceptors. They aren't perfect, but I have to have one in my collection.

Dang it! I was so excited for a Chevy sedan, as it really looked like a four door in the eBay picture.
This pic is clearer, but my excitement comes to a crashing end, as I see it is yet another typical 2-door '56 Chevy. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt to prove it.
I'll still pick it up when I see it, but it'll be added to the Jammer cases with minimal fanfare.

Looks good, but a 4 door would of been better

I did buy this 56, it is smaller than the other vehicles. But a decent 56 nontheless.

Why is it I was able to go into Wal Mart the other day and have no problem finding the new Jada issues but looked over at the Matchbox pegs and they were empty as usual. ;)

Sweet! I'm hoping to make a run down there at the end of the month!

Post the pics, I really want to see the 13 Interceptor! (please!)

My Walmart had them as well. As promised, I bought them, but nothing to get overly excited about for me.
The Interceptor is a disappointment. It is larger (wider and longer) than the Charger and Crown Vic castings. And something seems "off" in the proportions. Pics to come later if no one else posts them first.

Thanks for the pics, Dean! You're right about them (police interceptors) being a disappointment, but I may still pick up one. I'm eyeing the Greenlight versions (Chicago PD).

Any thoughts, feelings, opinions (good, bad, or otherwise) on the Bel Air? I'm thinking of getting one if I come across it, but haven't seen it in person yet. I'm not an "American Car" guy, so I'd like to know what you guys think about it.

Mine appeared to mix the Hero Patrol with the Monster Trucks, there weren't very many, though, several less than when I bought the NYPD Dodge Charger a month or two ago.

The Matchbox pegs appeared to be full at the time I went, as did the pegs at most other stores around here, which is odd, as they're usually nearly empty.

I kind of understand that they have to keep the line consistent, but couldn't they change the wheels on the '56? They just look wrong on it.

I must say, coming from Jada, the people that bring us pimped-out rides and cars with more bling than Flavor Flav's teeth, these are pretty well accurate in the details!

I picked up the Police Interceptor about a week ago. It's ok, but the right rear tailight is way to low....
