Crazy Matchbox guy
I try not to get involved in the MB vs Hot Wheels thing. Both are being marketed at the same price point to the same target audience. Hot Wheels has more variety and more licenses, purely because they have a larger amount on offer at once. To try and say that Hot Wheels look more realistic than Matchbox is now a little odd, because Ryu Asada who used to make all the Matchbox castings now makes a number of the new Hot Wheels ones. Therefore, the castings themselves are pretty much the same in a way. The new stuff is now under the Hot Wheels banner. Hot Wheels does have a number of really cool vehicles, which I would love to have had under the Matchbox brand, but I could say that about many manufacturers.

To me the real test of Matchbox vs Hot Wheels would be when the Alfa 4C comes out from Matchbox, which would be a good comparison to the 8C that Hot Wheels did. But I think both will have their merits. I will only pick up the Matchbox one as a Matchbox collector, not toy car collector, but will not say the other one is bad. It is just not something I am interested in.

Nothing wrong with the HW i posted chap,at least you can buy them in the UK unlike MB which hardly any retailers are wanting to stock most preferring own label.

Not a whole lot right with them either, chap. Certainly not compared to the glory days.
