The Mustang II is a Mustang too!
We're ready to party, we're ready!

I'm sad to say DutchWay is off the agenda this year (I think those who've gone in years past will agree that while the food's worth it, it's too far from the show), but I'm happy to announce that I've got a very good Italian restaurant lined up for Friday. Right down the road from Outback Toys, which is on this year's agenda after such a successful trip there last year.

Also in Lititz is a little chocolate company by the name Wilbur's. Less than a minute from Outback Toys (seriously, I Mapquested this and it came out to 56 seconds, lol!), Wilbur's manufactures Buds, which were the original inspiration for Hershey Kisses. Any interest in checking them out?

Hey Sean! Welcome back! I'm looking forward to hearing about your trip and your induction.
As I remember from our trip to Lititz last year, there seemed to be several interesting looking shops and eateries in the downtown area. I'd like to walk around and take it all in. :)

Italian food? YUM! Chocolate?? YUM YUM YUM!!! :woot:

....... is it April yet?

Hey Sean! Welcome back! I'm looking forward to hearing about your trip and your induction.
I'd love to hear about my induction also! I was unfortunately unable to attend. :(

Also, someone recommended the General Sutter Inn as a potential place to eat as well. I've never been there so I intend on scoping it out in the next few weeks. ;)

Some exciting developments this week. I have to verify them before I can share though.

The event is shaping up to be awesome.

Looks like I'm out for the count. My CARnival cash stash has gotten tapped into and gobbled up by everything under the sun. Since January my wife's computer crashed, vet bill, vacuum cleaner died, and now my car needs a coolant flush because it's turning acidic. It was just too many things to handle in two months time. Glad I had a little extra cash on the side, but basically right now I got nuttin' folks unless I want to add to my debt...which I really can't do with a limited income. I won't discount miracles if one should come along between now and April. But for now, this looks like my status.

I will pray for that miracle, Robert! My prayers, and those of others, were FINALLY answered as I have returned to the working world!! My attendance at CARnival hinged on my employment status, which improved greatly on February 18th with a job offer! :woot:

Here's to your financial miracle!!

Congrats, Mark...that is great news

And thanks for the prayers too. I'm working on my own turn-around. And I recieved a little sign post the other day that I'm heading in the right direction and I just need to keep marching. For more info, check out my post "The Fruits of my Babble," in the Free Parking: Off Topic bay

Come this Friday, CARnival will be 4 short weeks away. Time to decide to spend the weekend in Denver, PA! Denver is located in Lancaster County which is known for its communities of Amish and Mennonite people. The area also offers numerous antique shops. You're also not far from Hershey Park - who doesn't love chocolate??

C'mon. Share your passion for die cast with a bunch of other junkies! You will have a BLAST!!

Having no money is not an acceptable excuse why you can't go to carnival.

We can do the coolant flush for you in the parking lot Robert. We can make it an amazing event. Vet bill. I have some cat meds I can toss you. Good stuff

vacuum died. Rip the carpets out
Computer crashed. Swifty will give you his.

there's always a solution

as for Mark you better start paying protection to me. I know a guy..

I still have a month. They say a lot can change even in a day. So I haven't completely given up.

Robert. ..

The corrosion inhibitors do become depleted. An easy check is with a digital voltmeter.

Set the meter on a low DC voltage scale. Put the + probe on the battery negative post and the - probe into the cool radiator filler opening, under the coolant level, but not touching any metal. (I may have the polarities backwards, but it doesn't matter.)

An excellent reading is .1 volts or less. Anything above .3 to .4 volts is time to flush and renew the coolant.

Who told you that it is getting acidic? Shops always try and sell preventive maintainence. Was it doing something whacky?

Nothing whacky...except maybe a little hesitant to start back when we had those really freezing mornings. I went into the Ford dealership for a state inspection and they tested it. They haven't tried to sell me anything extra yet...but they said I would need the flush soon. To be honest, with all the other things that sucked the cash out of my account lately, I don't even have enough to get it done until early next month.

I know I might get bashed by some mechanics out there but frankly, I don't think the matter is all that urgent. Certainly nothing to put off for an extended period, but it is something that can wait.

The vacuum --- is it the motor? Or maybe just a belt? Might need a good cleaning. If you're handy, you might be able to fix it yourself....

I'm tryin' here, Robert!! Gotta get you to CARnival !!
