I have been finding these cars in playsets at ROSS dress for less but I did not wanted to pay the $7 for the playset just to get the cars. So I left them and then the other day went to a grocery store right by the house and they had the singles hanging on a side display for $1 each. I have tried looking for the manufacturer for these cars but I have not been able too. The jam'n products inc appears to be a close out distributer and not a manufacturer and I had never heard Shelby Collectibles coming out in a cheaper tier than their other cars. Any light to shine on this mystery would be helpful. Here is all the cars in the series. Pretty much cleared what they had left to complete the set. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Bottom of the black 2004 Ford Shelby Cobra Concept. There is nothing written on or stamped underneath the sticker. ![]() Pic of the bottom half of the back of the card. The upper half only listed the cars in the series that have already been shown. ![]() Let me know if anyone had information on these cars. Thanks! |

I'm not sure, either. I recently bought 2 cars called 'Shelby Collectibles' from Menards. They were still 1:64, but were more detailed, with opening doors and hoods. I got a Cobra 427 S/C and a Daytona Coupe, on sale for $2.98 each. I could not find any mention of a manufacturer on the packaging. I didn't see a mention of "Jam'n products", either. |

Shelby Collectibles is the diecast division of Shelby Automobiles established in 2004. A To Z Article - Shelby Collectibles As for the items shown, these are brand new to me. I sent an email to the distributor and if I hear anything back I'll pass along the info. They look like possible $1 offerings from SC themselves. Some quick searching led me to SC's official site. Jam'N Products is listed as an official distributor. I'd guess these are a new to us basic line from SC. http://www.shelbycollectibles.com/company.htm
Sounds like this is/was the new toy line for '13. Edited by craftymore, Dec 20 2013, 10:46 PM.

Paul, do you have any copies of the '65 Shelby Cobra from Shelby Collectibles' regular detailed line? If so compare them to these. I'm curious if they are different in size or scale. |

No, I sure don't. I have maybe 3 castings from Shelby Collectibles and the Cobra is not one of them. Sorry! |

At first glance I thought copycat. After seeing Crafty's detective work, I'm going with my second impression of Shelby using their existing models and "cost cutting" to make toy versions of their models. Makes sense to me from a business POV, and really no different than Matty and others. |

I was thinking that too but for some reason I have this feeling that is not the case with these. After comparing the 1965 Cobra to Hosspowers pics of the same car from higher end Shelby Collectibles. It appears to be a different castings. |

These look like fun. Nothing new or groundbreaking, but plenty good enough to add to the growing collection of Fords and Shelbys. |

I'm afraid these look better on Swifty's than they do in your hands. The quality is somewhere between Summer and Maisto. These are lightweight, and apparently designed to go head-to-head with the $1 cars, but they actually do not compare well to Hot Wheels and Matchbox models of the same cars. It's like all the money went to license the Shelby name with only half left over for production. I'm a fan of the true Shelby Collectibles with the opening features. These are related only by name and subject matter. Collect what you like, of course... but not a buy for me. Just my 2 cents. Edited by Lane1through75, Dec 21 2013, 05:41 AM.

All i see is that i want one of each model. Simple, yet very desireable castings. Defnitely go on my seeking list. |

I think on the quality part you are correct especially concerning the tampos and the wheels. They definitely need to work on that aspect of them. Now the castings themselves are way better than Maisto and Summer in fact I would put them against the current HWs. They do feel cheaply made but if this is Shelby Collectibles that we are known to, they did not do to badly on their first try in the dollar market. They just need to work on better applying the tampos and upgrading their wheels and these could be flying off the shelves. Here are detailed pics of 4 out of 5 castings from this set. I did not do the 2004 Shelby Cobra Concept. Its is not all that different than other interpretations from the other brands. 2006 Ford GT ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 2013 Ford Shelby GT500 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 1966 Ford GT40 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I know these cars would be great for customizers. Great looking castings and the base is screwed on. No drilling. |

I have been seeing these on ebay now and then, but have been skeptical on making the purchase for quality issues for what the seller was asking. They aren't bad for a dollar car but I don't think I will be chasing any of these down. |

I just did a wheel swap on the 2013 Shelby GT500 and it looks pretty good. I will post pictures of it later today (hopefully). |

The wheel swap improves the look a lot. Great job. What grocery store did you find these in? I'm hoping it is a national chain, so I can start looking. Otherwise, I need people to tell me if they find these anywhere else. |

I wouldn't mind finding the Cobra and GT40 from this series. Wishful thinking makes me hope they'll release a Shelby prepared Toyota 2000GT and a Dodge Omni GLHS in the future. |

I found them at a grocery store called Food Fair. I don't if they are national chain or not. There are a few here in the Harris County area but they are so far from each other. My first job was at a grocery store called Gerland's Food Fair but I have not seen them in years but the store I went too (Food Fair) had the same feel to it if that makes any sense at all. I am wondering if they just dropped the Gerlands from the name and continued on because most of their old locations are being used by different chains now. |

Well, I did some research and it is still Gerland's but they don't seem to use the name on the stores anymore and the chain only has stores in Texas mainly in the Houston area. If I see another store in my daily travels I will keep you and Swifty in mind. |

I received a reply back in an email from Jeff Robbins of Jam 'N Products today. Hello Zach, Thank you for your email. The 1:64 Shelby Die Cast that we make are available at the Toys R Us Holiday Express stores – which are typically located in malls. It’s a new line, we currently have six styles available. They are also included in our Shelby Track Sets, which are also available in the same stores as well as other retail chains. If you prefer to shop for the track sets on line, you have several choices, including Amazon. Everything in our product range is made in China. The Collectible 1:64 Die Cast is sold by Shelby Collectibles. It will be my pleasure to give them your contact information. They have a wide assortment of vehicles and in a variety of scales. Best regards, and Season’s Greetings to everyone at Swifty’s Garage, too. Jeff Robbins |
