Here's a brand that's only even been mentioned here once before. I didn't buy this; it's sort of an accidental family heirloom. I can't explain the weird discoloration.

Neat old pickup. I sure didn't give those toys a second thought about being plastic back then as it was one of the common materials in those days. I have some old Renwal plastic toys packed away someplace in my basement from my younger days. :D

Between Renwal and Tomte, I played many an hour myself. Well, those and my Tootsie Greyhound bus.

It may not be much of an heirloom it would seem, but personally I think it is really cool, and something I would treasure...especially if it had family history.

Pleasantly surprised this drew interest! The family history is this: before my grandfather died, he found this buried in the backyard, having been missing forty years. He brought it to us his last visit, and we all had a good laugh.

Support your local demo derby.

It's new to me as I don't recall seeing the brand posted before. It survived well for being buried that long!

if it was buried underground, the moisture and acids in the soil, or fertilizer likely ate on the plastic. I found my own childhood cars buried in my backyard too, some of them, and the paint on them was all "warty".
