Hello all! Just thought that I'd post the entirety of my Zylmex collection. They are nothing of spectacular condition, as they were not bought individually. They were just from random lots on eBay. I've got cases to store these cars in nicely, and I would just like to confirm that all of these are Zylmex before labeling the case as such. A lot of them are marked as Zylmex, and that's a no-brainer, but some just have the model number and nothing else, where they blanked-out their name. Some of the cars I have seen people file under Motor Max brand, but I am sure Zylmex released them first. I understand that the "P" prefix indicates Pacesetters, and the "D" prefix indicates Dynawheels. I don't know if this is true for all models or not. [x] Apologies for the backgrounds, I'm still learning. [x] Apologies for the black splotches on the southeast corners of the photos. The CCD sensor had dust on it. [x] Apologies for the random dog fur on some of the cars. The dog you see in my avatar is my own, and he sheds everywhere, hence why these cars needed to be in cases so badly, hehe '63 Corvette Split-Window (#P364) ![]() #D97 ![]() Morgan Plus 8 (#D63) ![]() #D101 ![]() '57 Chevy Hardtop (#P355) ![]() (K2) California Hauler (#359) ![]() De Lorean (#P374) ![]() (K2) California Hauler (#359) ![]() Mercedes 450SL (#P352) ![]() (K1) Mack (unnumbered) ![]() Lancia Stratos (#D56) ![]() Mercedes Benz 300SL (#P370) ![]() Camaro Z28 (#P367) ![]() Lola Chevrolet (#D54) ![]() Mustang (#D49) ![]() Rolls Royce (#D44) ![]() '57 Corvette (#p365) ![]() Continental Mk. 4 (#P363) ![]() '84 Corvette (#P375) ![]() (K1) Mack (unnumbered) ![]() Ford Roadster (#P325) ![]() #D101 ![]() '84 Corvette (#P375) ![]() '63 Corvette Split-Window (#P364) ![]() Boeing 747 (#A105) ![]() Tracked Tractor (#F817) ![]() 1941 Vauxhall (#D72) ![]() Ambulance (#T439) ![]() Edited by SeberHusky, Dec 26 2013, 12:44 AM.

I would have to look through my trucks (buried in the garage) to be able to confirm the truck tractors, and I cannot confirm or deny the airplane and dozer. The rest are all Zylmex. #D97 is what was left of the '82 Firebird casting after Zylmex had to alter all of their General Motors castings to avoid legal problems, when the automakers started to require licensing for their diecast counterparts. #D101 is a Ford Thunderbird stock car And the Vauxhall is mis-printed on the base. It represents a 1914 Vauxhall. |

As the truck tractors go, it appears the 6 point star wheel design is one that Zyl did use, so I would be leaning towards thinking those are Zyl, pending correction. I didn't know Zyl dabbled in aircraft, so can't help on the plane. The dozer looks familiar, and I do know Zyl did dabble in construction equipment, but I can't confirm this is is Zyl either. |

Zylmex did make aircraft in the late 70s/early 80s, also made farm toys, construction toys, motorcycles and even bicycles, latter two in 1/18 scale. I have also seen paddleball boards, jacks, plastic soldiers and plastic cowboys under the Zee Toys trademark. edit: The second Thunderbird was most likely on a Z Wheels or Redbox card (very late production), and the Corvettes were from the "Wild Cars" series that was mixed Pacesetter and Dynawheels castings in lurid color schemes in a futile attempt to boost sales in 1992 or so. I need to find some classic 70s bicycles & motorcycles by Zylmex to go with my 1/18 cars. |

Hi Seberhusky. I'm sure that all of the road/construction vehicles you picture are by Zylmex. The ones with the base info blanked out are the re-issues by Motor Max. The only one I can't confirm is the 747 as I don't collect aircraft toys. PS: Love those Mack trucks! Edited by Mikey 1/64, Dec 26 2013, 01:29 PM.

Cool I also like Zylmex, have several early models. Would also guess the plane is produced by them because they did so many different examples ... Did anyone else even make them ... The dozer also appears to be their casting although the ones I have seen so far have a yellow bucket instead of black so it might be a sister company or knockoff etc. Eric |

I do know Motor Max had a series of small aircraft, I have a B2, B1b, a U2 and a prototype fighter by them...quite small, tiny in fact compared to the Matchbox aircraft series. If MotorMax ended up with Zylmex tooling it is possible their line is made of Zylmex reprints. The ones I bought were at TrU probably within the past ten years, so fairly recent. I suspect the possibility because of the wheels on the airplane. Those tiny metal wheels are huge to the aircraft scale but so tiny in hand, and very distinctive. |

A little update, I was searching eBay for "zylmex united", and found this, the wheels look different, but it could be the angle. 1993 ZYLMEX SUPER DYNA-FLITES die-cast UNITED AIRLINES plane |

Here you go: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dyna-Flights-BRANIFF-P38-LIGHTENING-x2-Zymes-Boeing-747-Continenta-PARTS-Restore-/370955413830?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item565eaa6946 Scroll through the images. He shows pics of the bellies of his planes. Same wheels. FWIW, if anyone is interested, Playart also has a line (or did have a line) of aircraft about the same size. I have a China Clipper by them. |

Congrats SeberHusky, looks like you're building a good sized Zylmex collection there. Here's a link showing what looks to be the same bulldozer casting, I know I have one like it too, somewhere, but forgot it was a zylmex, I believe it's a military version. http://www.ebay.com/itm/ZYLMEX-BULLDOZER-Made-in-hong-kong-/321282812287?pt=Diecast_Vehicles&hash=item4acdf2a97f Edited by Douglas, Dec 27 2013, 06:59 PM.

Excellent starter collection for the Zylmex brand. Really like the Chevy panel/ambulance. |
