My Favorite brand to collect!; What's yours?

As a kid growing up in the UK in the 70s, the "local" brands (Matchbox & Corgi Juniors) formed the majority of my toybox, plus some Majorettes, and these (and the other European brands that I've discovered in adulthood) are what I have the most feeling for. I only had one Hot Wheels as a kid (a gold Hot Heap), simply because they hardly ever appeared in the stores here then. It wasn't until the mid 1980s that they were commonly available. (Seems crazy to think how Hot Wheels are everywhere these days, but it's not too easy to find Matchbox in the UK, particularly since the old Woolworth stores all shut down). I would love to have more Greenlight, JL, Auto World, etc., but these have never been properly marketed over here (likewise the early Playarts), and crazy recent import charge rises have meant that I will no longer buy anything from the US, sadly. I do love Tomica, but these have to be either ebayed from Hong Kong or bought from dealers at swapmeets.

Basically I collect anything in approx 3-inch scale that I like, if I can afford it, and I get just as much pleasure from a beaten up early Zylmex as from an expensive Kyosho or Tomica Limited.

And isn't it strange how a particular SIZE of toy should appeal! It must be down to those childhood memories, and what was affordable on some meager pocket money back then!
