As always, if it makes you happier than the cash did, then you did well! I don't put much weight into value, since I don't intend to re-sell my cars. That is a pretty looking Jaguar. I haven't seen one in chrome green before. It would look good on the Christmas tree, with the Johnny Lightning Holiday cars. |

Oh, I know. People would cringe at paying $40+ for some big box of "common" cars, but if I spot certain ones I've been after for a long time or were former childhood cars, I will not second-guess the price and will snatch it up immediately. The chrome is very pretty for sure. If Christmas hadn't just ended, it would be a good ornament. haha |

Nice model, I don't know much about Rockets, so can't help much there, but I think they are the more valuable Corgi Jrs than others, but I believe the same like Dean was saying anyway, it's more about being happy with the model, although I think everyone always like a deal when we run across them.

You can never go wrong with a Jaguar. You picked up a nice Corgi Rocket version of the Jag - this one is in pretty good condition considering the metallic paint seems to chip off fairly easily on these chrome versions.

Rockets are pretty desirable... then again Yat Ming, Zylmex, JL and Playart had chrome colors too (I hesitate to call any non-HW chrome color Spectraflame) in the early 70s, so the Rocket paint scheme is really a product of its era. But all of these still have plenty of visual impact, and IMHO a diecast is worth as much as you are willing to pay more so than "book value". I love this car, was a good buy and I'd have paid $5 for it in a heartbeat. |
