Amazing collection! There's not many out there that collect 50's and 60's Matchbox. If they do, they certainly don't share it online!
You just have to know where to look.

Even so, this is an outstanding collection to see so many splendid examples in one thread.

Quite magnificent! I hope you get full value for the ones you are parting with. They would certainly fetch top dollar (or should I say pounds) here in the UK. Good luck

PS: Exige or E-type...? I know which I'd go for ;) Prrrrrrrr, nice kitty kitty

I've wanted an E type since I was 5 years old, so it's definitely a candidate. However, prices for the series 1.5 coupes have gone way up, so it may not happen. We'll see.
The Exige is certainly not a consolation prize.

I am really interested to know where you got that information from.I am presenting a written talk on Matchbox Old and New in the near future at our local club and my research shows the complete opposite.

thanks in advance.

Bill, I thought that was a bit odd too. Matchbox regular wheels are very popular, thus the high prices they can command. Not a lot of them are shared on this site, but there are several other sites where they kinda rule.

Amazing collection. I have both an E Type and Exige that I would trade you for the lot. Oh wait, you want full size ones, nevermind! I'd love to get that Ferrari with the disc wheels, if that's one you plan on selling please let me know.

I love your early blister packs, 66alfa - they have a wonderful optimistic 1960s freshness to them

True, I can think of three sites without trying, no doubt there are more. Matchbox still commands a great and loyal following.

Beautiful additions to your thread. Again, it is a pleasure to see so many wonderful models in one place!

Wrong the commercial stuff is not a big money earner in the UK.
