Looks great. But I've never even seen the others around here. The MB selection has been the dregs of the dregs for a long time now. New WM opened and they got quite a few. Found the new Monaco sheriff's car. I hope we continue to get better selections there.

Saw it and left it. Gray base and bumpers are just blah. I do look forward to future uses of the casting with the chrome base and bumpers as long as the tampos don't get crazy.

Brodrick Crawford and the old Highway Patrol show was the first thing I thought of when the black and white version was released. :) I have been watching those old episodes on Hula TV. I never found it or the white one in the wild but managed to get them from fellow emergency vehicle collectors. I suppose that is how I will end up getting the blue version as well. I, too, am disappointed with the grey base/grille but like the overall look of the car and do want to add it to my collection.

I still like the black one better out of the three.

This is a very nice version of the '56 Buick Century. I like how the strobe light appears blue, but the windows are thin enough so that they look clear.

Crisp photos!

Yes!! Clear (or close to clear) windows! All my recently completed replica stock conversion needs! I'll buy it just for that. BTW: It's a Special (3-ports), not a Century (4-ports).

Thanks for sharing, but man - the proportions of this casting are completely funky. Double-meh for that cheap grey base.

I have the original California Highway Patrol version of this model. I was able to find the white one, but left it. I like this one, but I dislike that this and now the Seagrave (according to the most recent Ambassador's Report) have these ugly, cheap pearl gray bases.

Why does the color of the base matter?

For me, it's not so much the color of the base - silver or grey is fine. It's the cheap grade of pearlescent plastic that ruins it. None of that matters much - the proportions of this model are really weird.

It just that modern 1.00 cars NOW HAVE plastic bases instead of diecast bases!!
