Hello everyone! I came across this forum while looking at different Tomica models. I recently regained an interest in model cars, especially the smaller 1:64 models and have found that Tomica provides the best quality, design and price of many great Japanese classics. With that being said does anyone know where I can find any in Canada or Toronto for that matter? If not I am ok with ordering them off eBay. Any recommended sellers? Thanks for the help and I will try to contribute as much as I can to this forum.

Welcome Carreiro! Although I have not purchased from them, several other members have purchased from AmiAmi and had good luck. I bought from a seller out of Japan, but unfortunately the company was wiped out by the tsunami. NoirGuru may be able to help out as he's in Canada as well. Hope this helps... |

Welcome aboard. Personally I buy my Tomicas on eBay or from sellers on the Garage. A few showed up in TRU but that experiment seems to have ended. |

Depends on what you're after.... New stuff, old stuff...? AmiAmi and Hobby Link Japan are good for new stuff, but you have to keep on eye on things or they can sell out. I prefer AmiAmi for new Tomica, ChoroQ, and Tomica Limited Vintage. Ebay is good for old stuff, but watch out for deals and rip-offs. The sale/trade board here is good, but you never know what might pop-up, or when. There's a few guys out there, in Japan, that do shopping for collectors like us. I've used a few and could/would recommend them. There are fees involved for their services though. |

My local TRU just (very oddly) got in some of the 2 car value packs for $5.99. Nothing that hasn't been seen before though, just packaged differently (le sigh). Otherwise try visiting Chinatown. TO is pretty big. Have you also tried the Pacific Mall in Markham? |

Thank you all for the suggestions I really appreciate it. It appears that AmiAmi looks like a good bet, especially since they allow preorders. Thanks for the offer Toyotageek. I will try looking at Chinatown this weekend or maybe head to pacific mall. Thanks!

The onlt Tomica's I found around my part of Canada were at a Store called "Owl's Hollow" it is an educational toy store, The Tomica's were part of the old ERTL display, the one that has tractors and farm equipment and those terrible plastic ERTL castings of a few years ago. Occasionally they had Johnny Lightnings too, the unwrapped variety. |

There's a new store in Market Village, Tokyo Papa (Steeles and Kennedy) selling full line of Takara Tomy's products. Include Tomica and Plarail. They have all the Tomica's car, even the new car for this month Sept 2015 (Jeep) and the Nissin Foods are there already!! Edited by w0202, Sep 19 2015, 03:12 PM.

More importantly... what about the Civic SiR? ![]() You might have given me an excuse to head to Toronto soon. Also, welcome to the board.
