Right on a Viper is always cool ... B)

Yeah Im not really sure what constitutes "Vintage" when it comes to diecast toy cars.

So long as its Road Champs in this thread its all good with me ... :)

Recently bought this car without a base shot, was hoping for it to be diecast ... Nope plastic.Says 1987 on the base and I think its a 300z ... ? The sun roofs appear to open although dont. That would have been a nice touch aye.

You're having a lot of fun with these old Road Champs! Way cool!

Of the four "convertibles" you show here, I have the Vette and I think the 57, but only the drop tops, no "up" version. I've been after the Caddy for awhile and didn't know about the Tbird until recently. Nice, nice finds!

Road Champs did a number of their cars in a racing deco - at one time I had most of them but now just have the Dr. Pepper Z Car. I actually had bought it as a gag gift for my wife who does her part of keeping the Dr. Pepper company in business with her love of Diet Cherry Dr. Pepper. :D

Alex I have the same Impala that I liberated from the blister ... Check out the base on the car and it says Yatming ... So where do we go from here ...

Lady of the night lol.

I thought it looked like a Yatming Chevy that I have in red. It's also shown in the Yatming database with different wheels. Something to ponder for sure!

No mystery. Road Champs used Yat Ming castings in their early packaging. They are Yat Ming castings, with no ties to Road Champs other than the package.

Support your local demo derby.

Yatming pimped out their castings to a multitude of other companies. Regardless what blister they were originally sold on they are in fact Yatming models.

@ 69ch - That's a color changer 2nd gen Firebird . . . same as one I've had since my early childhood days. Cool score from Carnival.

The last one is a Jaguar XJS.
Any & all pictures are welcome in the Database.
I know I am not a good example to follow, as I rarely find time to take pictures of my cars to add to the Database, but all pictures are welcome...even if the car/version has been shown. Different angles and different peoples photo style show each car differently, so the more pictures, the merrier.

Sounds good Dean.

Yeah I check the data base often for reference and contribute where it can be done.I also understand that is what it is so save the chatter for the other forums.Thats why I started this thread so we can discuss the models first ... Like I had a question about what I thought was a Jaguar although if I start a new data base thread was hoping to have a complete title. So add the XJS and its all good right!

The mod team has no issue with with two threads that feature the same car . . . one for chatter in the regular Garage bays and one for the database. As clunky of a casting as it is I really love the Buick Roadmaster.
