Tomica version pictured looks really close to the copy shown in this thread.

They were called Road Machines. They Ripped off the Tomica F1 cars. I have most of them I think.

JRI, whose logo is on the front of the blister cards, was a distributor of various brands back in the 70s and 80s. Among the brands they dealt with were Welly, Summer, Road Champs and Yatming among others. I have no proof but wonder if 'Road Machines' just wasn't a name used by Welly similar to Yatming's 'Road Tough' or 'Fast Wheel'?

All they say is "Made In Hong Kong". There's little ovals on one of them where they blanked out something. Wheels look similar though.
