Error or variation?; '65 Austin Mini Van

Back in '09 I found this mini with 3-spoke wheels. A few other collectors found some too the following weeks and all were found on a short card.

So Is this an error or a vari, because I can't find it in catalogs.

Generally, if there are other examples, differences are considered variations and not errors. I'd call this a variation if you know others exist.

Yes, this is a Mattel documented variation.

And if you have not found it in any catalogues, I guess you did not check the MCCH Catalogue . . . ;)

Nice find, back when this paint scheme was available, I looked and looked for this variation, but had only ever seen those (hundreds :D ) with the standard issue wheels on the pegs.
