Scored some Rollamatics and Superfasts today.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() By the way, what is the best way to restore the body paint without damaging it? For instance, the paint of the Maserati Bora and the Ford Escort have lost their shine. |

Congrats on your finds. I don't know how well it would work, or if there would be any harm, but possibly try polishing with some 1/1 car polish. Although, if there are any loose finish you may end up making it chip off by rubbing on the paint. |

Thanks. Yes, I thought of that and I am going to try. It's like the clear coat or varnish or whatever it is is totally gone. I noticed this happens a lot on the Matchbox superfasts and rollomatics. |

Congrats on the scores. What's the model for the #60 open roadster? Might suggest practicing the car wax on a non desirable test car before diving in on a model that has some $ significance to you. I've never tried to wax small scale item though. |

It's a Lotus Super Seven, a 1975 Matchbox model. |

Thanks for the answer. The Caterham Superlight R500 has a similar look that was perhaps inspired by the Lotus. |

Caterham started out by making kit cars based closely on the Lotus 7, so there is a direct descendency from the 60s Lotus to the recent Superlight. |
