Hi All, just showing my latest small Tootsietoy models, including one I never thought I'd own, the car carrier, figured it'd just be too expensive for my budget, it wasn't, (only $5), and on top of that it's in newish condition with cars too....but I do have a question about the cars, I'm pretty sure they are the ones originally included, but had they only came with two, or should there be three?![]() This is cool too, it'll go well with my old crane with matching body. ![]() Thanks, Doug Edited by Douglas, Jan 26 2014, 07:02 PM.

Always neat to see old Tootsietoy models. Those all appear to be in very nice condition. |

I can't give you a definitive answer if there were cars included but will say it's a fantastic find. The crane is none too shabby either. Thanks for sharing your vintage Tootsitoys and pictures with us!

Those are really beautiful Doug I don't know much about Tootsie, so I've no idea about how many cars came with the transporter, but it's cool that the cars are clearly meant to represent the Triumph TR3. A slightly better proportioned TR3 also made its way into that later series of approx. 1/87 vehicles that were shared by a number of manufacturers including Tootsie, Zylmex and Playart. Mine pictured below was from a Zylmex set of 12 cars

It is possible it was issued both with two and three models to carry. I seem to recall seeing a packaged model with only two...but we know how memory can be! I've seen Barclay with three models to carry, but there is no mistaking the Barclay for this Tootsie. The crane is really cool, I have one similar but fire engine red. |

I took these photos from eBay's completed listings page. Both these sold for a few dollars shy of $20. It is from 1969. It seems to have only come with two cars, with possible color variations. Both green, or one green and one purple. You have both the original cars. ![]()
