See the witty puns in the title I made? lol Nothing too special here, just an early version of the Cement Mixer from Summer. They later released it in the 90's and beyond with the more popular 5-point star wheels you all know to be associated with Summer. Cost me $6 for this shipped to my door, but I'll bet you won't hardly ever see one again for along time. I've only ever seen the trucks in green, so the blue version in the catalog I assume is a prototype color. .....oh wait, I wasn't supposed to reveal that yet. It's in really nice shape too, must have been collector-owned. Sorry about the focus issues, my camera evidently is not awake at 5AM either. lol ![]() ![]() ![]()

I like it Looks good on the early wheels. Amusing to see Summer quoting an accurate scale on the base too. That didn't last long!

Nice, I don't know that I even have a Summer model with these wheels or HK made, for that matter, but what is really most cool to me is the old catalog, I love old diecast catalogs....I'd like to see more of it if you get the opportunity to take some more pics. Thanks, |

LOL That was the joke. I figure I have the only Summer catalog in existence (from when their company first started) that I've kind-of been hush-hush about until I reveal it, and you guys would probably start a riot if I didn't post it. Unfortunately, it's not dated, but if the pages fit on my scanner, I'll scan and upload them. It will be a great addition to the Summer database, I am sure. If the pages don't fit, I'll have to buy a bigger scanner with a larger surface. It's all loose pages in a regular file folder, they were too cheap to even make a properly-binded catalog. lol |

I think you are right. If so, they might have swiped the design from Tomica. The castings look really similar, aside from the over simplification of the Summer. |
