For those of you planning or thinking of going to KDC, have you asked a friend or acquaintance to go? Have you asked someone from the Garage, even if it's someone you haven't met in person? Sometimes, all it takes is an invitation for a person to come to an event - just because somebody asked him to go. Aren't there guys on here that you would like to meet and talk diecast with in person? Guys that you've done trades with, shared PMs and emails and maybe even phone calls, but have never met face-to-face? A few years ago, I had the pleasure of finally meeting Roadwarrior at KDC. Brad and I talked on the phone all the time and we always sent each other boxes. So it was great to put a name to a face! ![]() This year I've asked a well-known Garage member to come to KDC. He said he needs a break and is going to see what he can do to make it to his first CARnival. He knows he is guaranteed he will have a GREAT and MEMORABLE time. The saying holds true: The more, the merrier! So, who are you going to invite??? Edited by DadsCoronet, Mar 6 2014, 08:28 AM.

Funny you mention that Mark cause I did actually ask a couple of ppl to come out. Unfortunately they declined - one guy is moving, the other has his kids (he is divorced and has joint custody) at that time. |

Okay, as of now it looks like I can make it. So I'm going to have one table. I have limited space in the car to bring luggage/computer for 3 days, so what should I bring. I only have 3-5 white lightnings, no treasure hunts and tons of near mint but loose items from a couple of collections (HW, MB, Maisto, Muscle Machines) that I bought. I have TONS of carded Playing Mantis Muscle Cars Round 1 Series 7-10 and Round 2 all series. I can fit 6 bins in the back seat and 3 more in the trunk (with luggage and carts). So if anyone is looking for anything in particular drop me a line and I can be sure to at least bring it with me. I have most items entered into a seachable database (with photos) and those will still be up for sale in my cases in the Antique Mall I sell stuff at. I will be bringing some coupons from that Mall with me for anyone who gets up to the Finger Lakes area in New York. IT's about 3 miles off of Thruway Exit 42 near the Finger Lakes racetrack and Casino. Also within 10 miles of the Canandaigua Speedway (DIRT). FYI for you Junk Yard DIORAMA guys I have a shoe box full of beaters of all brands that I will bring also. I could do something with them (fix them, customize) but I just can't find the time. Also if anyone wants to share a two bed room, I wouldn't mind sharing the cost. I was thinking about renting a van and sleeping in it, but then I remembered I'm not a college aged person any longer :(. Although I did sleep in the souvenir trailer at New Hampshire Speedway during a couple of NASCAR events the year before they shut out the independent dealer trailers. grrrr I think it was the year of the Tornado that hit on a Thursday morning. Whatever,,,, See you all there ( I hope ) P.S. Ricky and Mark, put me between you guys in the floor plan so i can catch up with Mark, and introduce myself to Ricky after all these years only reading typing.
