I stumbled across this 4 weeks ago on ebay, and I had to have it, even though I know it will be out in a couple of months for under half the Price.

It's the Lamborghini Veneno, it's a prototype bought in Malaysia, and it's awesome.

Cool Vehicle Sir and I know the feeling I just bought some auto world cars for a high price on ebay because I just couldn't wait for it to arrive at the department stores.

Perhaps my favorite car to emerge in the past year and they went and ruined it with large rear wheels. Guess I'll have to drop $20-30 on a Kyosho...

I just saw that car on ebay last week, and there is another one listed right now. (Making 3 total from Malaysia)
Seems fishy... Was this the seller?

There is this one from Indonesia as well...

This does raise the issue of "lunchbox special." Seems to me some workers are "creatively appropriating" pieces and then trying to pass them off as protos because they haven't been spun yet. Unspun rivits seem to be the telltale in the hobby for protos, which can fetch some pretty big bucks *if* they genuinely are protos or pre-pros. These are line pulls, not protos, but telling the difference in a year or three will be really difficult without provenance. I'm glad I stay out of this mess with new stuff, but now that I see this and have suspected for some time, I will be looking even closer on any other protos or pre-pros I consider.

Thanks for the head's up!

I have bought several from Malaysia that are pre production models (all Ferrari) but I know for a fact they are pre production. I have a feeling you are right about these Lambo's being pre production models, and one being a final version proto type that is fully built. The pre production models are still as cool as prototypes in my opinion.

That's pretty nice, and should prove to be a rarity even if it's a line pull.

Full-size Lamborghinis are beginning to look more and more like Hot Wheels fantasy vehicles.
But since this is a real car, I have to say it appears very well done. And the design is so far out,
that the Hot Wheelized proportions just blend into it anyway.

I picked up the grey Sesto Elemento a couple weeks ago.
It too is a cut above your average mainline in my opinion.
