Scored a total of twenty one old diecast models at a yard sale for just three dollars! My younger brother who is not a collector nor a gear head alerted me to the local yard sale on Sunday. He said there were six or seven old models there. Here they are, as is, from the sale: I could identify a few of the Hot Wheels, but a number of them I really need your help on. The following were easy enough: Hot Wheels: '55 Chevy Nomad ![]() Dodge Viper RT/10 Mercedes SLK Baja Breaker ![]() Shelby Cobra ![]() Blown Camaro ![]() Nissan Hardbody 4X4 ![]() But these Hot Wheels need to be identified: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Two older Matchbox castings of a Ford Capri (Super GT) and a 1/56 scale Mazda RX-7 wide body. ![]() I really like Petty's blue 1964 Plymouth race car #43 and the NFL New Orleans Saints gold 2006 Ford Mustang GT. ![]() ![]() Thanks... |

Good yard sale deal!! I like everything you got. Picked up the McDonald's wrecker myself a week ago at a yard sale. |

1980s Ford Thunderbird (Thunderburner) Specifically a color changer/color shifter, activated by heat and cold. Sometimes when they get old they "stick" in one color.![]() Ford Probe Funny Car Specifically from a special set with a computer CD that allowed you to print your own decals to put on the car ![]() 1940s/1950s Cab Over Engine (COE) - That might be a generic from a Happy Meals issue. Definitely McDs...I always thought of this as a mid-50s Ford cabover, but it is generic enough to avoid licensing ![]() Likewise the remaining unidentified cars are McDs issues, I have quite a few from that era but don't know the names offhand. Great scores, especially the Petty '64 Plymouth. That was the one I wanted most when they came out in cereal boxes and it is the one I didn't find, I did find all of the rest. |
