I would love to see the Ghia-bodied Checker Centurion that was built in the late 1960s. It was the only one of its kind ever built, and would make a great diecast model.![]() The car is an oddity. The rear driver side door is a suicide door, as seen in the photo, but the rear passenger side is a conventional door. Pretty cool, huh? I would also love to see a 1967 Impala sedan like the one from Supernatural. ![]() Absolutely the main reason I watch the show. I mean, the demon hunting is cool and all, but the Impala is the best part of the show. |

Contact Geoff Hacker at Forgotten Fiberglass for info on the Devin, Woodill (originally known as the Glasspar G-2), Kellison and LaDawri (also possibly a 1954 Bangert Manta Ray) for info and measurements, he is the expert on these classic 1950s/60s sport-racer, mainly DIY cars, which have curb appeal despite their rarity as real cars because they look like sporty fantasy castings, but have decent racing histories. Getting Kurtis-Kraft chassis measurements from Geoff would help on all of these, other than the Kellison and LaDawri that were typically built on a Studebaker Hawk or 1953-55 coupe chassis. The Glasspar/Woodill usually had a Ford flathead or Olds Rocket, Devin always had a Chevy small-block, LaDawri was typically an early Hemi, Buick nailhead or small-block Chevy, Kellison was typically Buick nailhead or Studebaker V8, the only known surviving Bangert Manta Ray had a Ford Y-block IIRC. These cars are also beloved by vintage race car fans (as is the Crosley Hot Shot, another possible idea), so they are not really niche offerings. Kids would gladly play with these cars since they look like a typical young child's vision of a race car, albeit more grown-up detail wise. Edited by GothicCarsUrban, May 31 2013, 01:26 AM.

Ahh, I don't know how I could forget this one! 1973 Chevelle. While Zylmex did do one, forget finding one. Like the 1986-87 Pontiac Grand Prix 2+2, this was used in NASCAR...actually a very popular car in NASCAR....I could probably build 50 of them with already available decals! (and that means, of course, that I would be buying more than 50 of them because I won't customize something I don't have more than one of...) |

![]() Excellent choice! Might I add the Buick Roadmaster and the Olds Custom Cruiser. Plenty of potential with all of these, from stock to custom to derby! Would be an excellent model for the lower end line. |

![]() 96 Buick Riviera Supercharged...this one might be a bit tricky to pull off without looking like a blob of metal, but if done well and finished right I think it would make a good addition...probably for the low end line. ![]() XLR Cadillac...another that might be a bit tricky to pull off, but seriously missing from any competent upper end maker. Perhaps better suited to the lower end line, but still worth making. ![]() 97 Caddy Eldo...another with nice lines, I think this one would be a bit easier to pull off in scale, and again could help fill out the lower end line for Wally, although this one would probably make a decent mid level detail car as well. ![]() Opel GT...these were common enough on American streets back in the day. I think this one would do well at any level in the AW range. ![]() 68 Buick Riviera...seriously lacking in scale and suitable for the higher levels for detail late 60s Eldorado...a classic, done before but not with panache and skill...well worth adding to the line at the higher levels of detail.![]() 70 Lincoln MkIII...well worth adding to the line at the upper end (plus there's the movie association if you wish to go there: "The French Connection") ![]() Gotta throw in a pitch for the Lincoln Zephyr...3 window, 5 window or Opera Coupe. Very versatile, you could do a lot of great things with this model at any level in the lineup. ![]() 61 Chrysler 300, would be a great stable mate for the Phoenix/Dart already scheduled, and seriously missing in scale. 1960-through 1962 would be my choices, but I chose the '61 for the tailfins and canted headlights. I love the trunk on the '60, and the '62 is missing the tailfins. All had the crossram 413, which would be a great way to show off your modelling talent! Definitely high end with this one. ![]() Seville Opera Coupe, late 70s...personally I prefer the square trunk version like this. Might be suited for the low end, but would look great with detail too. ![]() Other than a couple of half-hearted attempts, Excaliburs are ignored in scale and very worthy of some attention. ![]() Need I say more? ![]() ![]() This is a screenshot from the video game L.A. Noire. It's the first police car you get in the game and it would make an awesome diecast. ![]() Or how about a Hudson Commodore? This is an awesome car and it would make an awesome casting for sure. ![]() Yes, please.

First I just want to thank you Mike for your help in getting us the right connections and setting us up with Round 2. We have our orders in and cant wait to see the new goodies. Ok the wish list. Do you folks plan to do Any trailers? 25 years collecting I am still waiting for someone to do a regular car trailer, and even a few travel campers. I know these would do very very well as we get soo many request for this. Vehicle list would have to be anything non 60's - '70's. Just soo much out there, be nice to see some 80's - current rides. Might help generate some of the young 30's crowd and introduce them to the diecast hobby. And still a big demand for real scale current model tow trucks. Thanks again Mike, and I look forward to seeing the new line, always exciting to see what comes from fresh ideas. Russ Milezone.Com Auto World Diecast Line Now Available For Pre-Order |

Thank yous are certainly in order...so thank you, mostly for giving us an opportunity to communicate with you. I think this shows what a lot of us in the collecting community have been saying for years, that if a company would listen to us, they might get a better feel for what we like and what we're willing to pay for. Thank you very much, you and the whole crew! I'd like to continue my question about tooling, because on a closely related note sometimes (it seems to me) with some alternate but matched pieces of tooling one could make even two different brands of cars. Some examples: ![]() Chevy Vega ![]() Pontiac Astre...I might add the Pontiac version has never been done, and to my knowledge the Notchback body style of both the Vega and Astre have never been done. Seems to me (not being a modelling engineer) that *maybe* the tooling could be modified at the start to be capable of producing both the Pontiac and Chevy versions, and with a little juggling maybe even the fastback, wagon, panel and notchback versions of both of these without having to create full sets of tooling for each, but by creating alternate tooling pieces for the front (and probably rear) fascia(s) and the top/back body panels. Some other examples: ![]() Dodge Stealth (to my knowledge never done, and I've never understood why not?) ![]() Mitsubishi 3000GT, essentially the same car with minor mods, both of which would probably do well enough to sell in the US, and suited I think to the lower end line. ![]() Chrysler Le Baron...very common sight on the roads for many years ![]() Maserati TC, from which the Chrysler Le Baron was derived...as I understand Chrysler had an interest in Maserati at the time. Those are just some examples. It doesn't always work, like some of the late 70s GM products had different side stampings between the makes to set them apart....and I can see how that might complicate tooling. But the general idea of making tooling to be versatile...is that something worthwhile pursuing? Would that aid in cost of production in the long run? |

Some other random cars to throw out there to mix it up a bit from the usuals:![]() Mazda RX7...I'm not sure the year, but this is one of the prettier versions. ![]() Dodge Shadow, and the Plymouth counterpart...the two door models were quite attractive even if the build quality left way too much to be desired. ![]() Chrysler Executive Limousine. The K cars have been covered from time to time with a bit of hit and miss...but no one has done the baby limo. I think this will fit in very nicely scale wise, and I'd love to see it in the mid range. Edited by juantoo3, Jun 3 2013, 08:55 AM.

![]() A Nova like this would make an awesome casting. ![]() I would love to see a 1974-1976 Trans Am like this one. AFAIK, this particular body style has never been done in 1/64 scale. ![]() Fans of the series Burn Notice may recognize this wicked '73 Charger. Would love to see this one in the line. |

I know corvettes have been done time and time again in diecast, but I would loooooooove to see a 91-96 body style c4. The C4 has been done, but mainly in the 84-90. so please do a later model c4. The others Id love to see is are Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8 08-13 Chevy Silverado Quad cab 8-13 ford f-350 dually quad 93 Mustang SVT Cobra 87-91 Ford Probe Jensen Inteceptor Coupe and convertible Pontiac G8 Plymouth/Chrysler Prowler (with removable top) Acura NSX....I know its been done plenty, but i think u guys could make a great version 93-98 Toyota Supra (see above) 94-96 Impala SS (see above above) 86-92 Toyota Supra Maserati TC Hyundai Genesis 4 door 02 Chevy Camaro SS Anniversary Coupe |

Actually, I had the early-mid 70s Nova and variants in mind when I was trying to work up my question, thank you for the reminder! ![]() Buick Apollo ![]() Pontiac Ventura ![]() Olds Omega Every one of these is essentially a Nova, and none have been covered in scale. *If* the fascias could be modified, all of these could be made as well as the Nova with minimal additional tooling costs. Here's a couple of mostly forgotten American attempts at mini cars before they got their act together. Nice enough looking I think, but neither one sold well. The EXP in particular used to be seen often enough in the day, but I haven't seen one on the road in years.![]() Mercury LN7 ![]() Ford EXP ![]() Mercury Capri (79-86), what I used to call a Mercury Mustang...always loved the bubble hatch. I'm kinda surprised no one has done this one as often as the third gen Mustang has been covered by so many makers. |

I think you guys could do an awesome Camaro Berlinetta.![]() I don't think any diecast manufacturer has produced a stock version of one of these late-70s Camaros. Also, what about a Mustang II Ghia (since Motor Max's Fresh Cherries line took care of the regular Mustang II)? Tomica did a version of this, but it hasn't been available since the late 1970s. It's all yours!

Pontiac G8 Chevy SS or even in Holden Commodore trim Current Aussie Ford Falcon which should be a good seller since Ford is stupidly killing the model off in a few years. 1940s-1960s Indy 500 pace cars including the 1941 Chysler Newport Phaeton! I know some of those from the period are available from Franklin Mint, but not in 1:64 scale that I am aware of. I wouldn't even mind some pace cars from the later part of the last century, just NOT a bunch of Camaros or Corvettes, please. |
