1963 Studebaker Starliner stock or retro moded (I believe this one has been mentioned before but I would like to second it...LOL)

Hey Paul!

Excellent adds! I'm pretty sure this is a 1953 Studie though, not a '63.
Thanks Wes for the correction. My mind has not been hitting on all cylinders lately......LOL

Here is another one that would be cool to do. A Datsun 620 Pickup.

Yep, I think that one would be an excellent choice as well. They were not only all over the streets of America, they were all over streets all over the world, so this is an excellent choice!

I LOVE the Datsun pickup idea. I forgot all about that truck. Even my dad had one. I remember on a quiet night you could actually hear it rust.

That's funny!!! My parents had one before I was born and they both said it was alittle work horse of a truck. They had that truck for years using it to pull up tree stumps on some property they had. I think they got rid of it because it become so rusted out the they could not use it anymore.

OK, gonna take a chance throwing this one out there...

Air cooled VWs are just about a given...if you make them, they will sell.

But there are a few that either haven't been done well or certainly could stand a serious upgrade, like

Of course, none of these should be considered as replacements for a good assortment of quality Beetles and Buses...including pop top Westys, Barndoors, Safaris and 23 windows.

We've been considering the VW license. Some good suggestions there. To be perfectly honest, you probably won't see a Beetle or a Karmann Ghia from us. JL has done both to death over the last several years.

Dasher and Scirocco are both water cooled...and would feature on the "not likely" thread eventually.

Good to hear...but something to consider, while JL may have made them to death, they sold. Next to Camaros and Mustangs, VW Bugs are probably the best selling diecast overall. They have a very broad international following.

I might suggest trying to find some of the more odd and unusual Bugs to make, rather than the typical run of the mill stuff just to differentiate yours from the crowd. There are a lot of specialty models that VW fans would snatch up in a hurry.

Some suggestions might be a mid 50s split window...while oval windows have been done (Hot Wheels) and the later post '59 models are covered well, the splittys have yet to be done in the past 30 or 40 years, possibly longer. I have seen pics of a German Police 4 door bug, that no doubt would find buyers even beyond just VW fans. Then there are lots of custom VWs that were running around back in the day, from "flatbacks" to the ones with Rolls or '40 Ford fronts on them. And I still think the Champion Spark Bug would be a big seller, that particular Baja racer was quite famous in the early 70s, and still remains one of the best remembered Baja 500 racers.

Found this on Jalopy Journal...1947 Diamond T Model 201 Pickup truck

This particular one was a service tender on the Bonneville Salt Flats...which makes it worth considering on those merits alone. The Diamond T pickup is quite rare and unusual, and to my knowledge not done in scale, and very attractive I think.

I know JL did a '65 IH pickup but a '67 1000 model would be nice too.

Some really good suggestions in here already, but I still feel the need to add my $.02. If I could have just one car from each brand, they would be:

Chevrolet: 1977-1979 Caprice/Impala coupe (I see ala PM Johnny Lightning that variations are possible here)
Pontiac: 1976-1977 Grand Prix
Oldsmobile: 1979-1985 Toronado (one of my favorite cars, and as far as I know never done in any scale)
Buick: 1991-1996 Roadmaster Estate (and with the tooling capabilities, casting could serve as a 91-92 Olds Custom Cruiser too!)
Cadillac: 1993-1996 Fleetwood

Ford: 1977-1979 Thunderbird
Mercury: 1974-1976 Cougar
Lincoln: 1980-1983 Mark VI sedan (NEO makes this in 1:43, but I really want 1:64, these were one of my favorites as a kid)

Dodge: 2007-present Challenger
Plymouth: 1975-1978 Fury wagon (could also be made into Dodge Monaco wagon of the same years)
DeSoto: 1955 Fireflite sedan
Chrysler: 1981-1983 Imperial
Eagle: 1993-1997 Vision (yea, I know this is probably the least likely of my picks to ever get made, but I still love those 1st gen LH cars, and always felt the Vision was the most unique)
Jeep: Grand Wagoneer

-OR-
In no particular order, 10 cars that are special to me (either owned by family members, or I wished I owned)

1. 1969 Chevelle Malibu hardtop coupe (dk blue metallic, blue vinyl top, black interior)
2. 1973 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser (medium blue with wood)
3. 1979 Chevy Malibu wagon (lt blue with matching interior, no wood)
4. 1995(-1999) Buick Riviera
5. 2013 Dodge Charger (bright red with red/black interior)
6. 1991 GMC Jimmy SLX 2 door with ST package (bright red, black interior sunroof and outside tire carrier)
7. 1972 Chevy Caprice 4-door hardtop (white with blue interior)
8. 1977-1979 Oldsmobile Delta 88 coupe (really want '77 Indy replica)
9. 1977-1978 Buick Riviera
10. 1971-1976 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser

Could do the VW Corrado... I don't know if that's been suggested yet and I'm being a bit lazy to check since it's pretty late haha

A few other dream cars of mine that I don't think have been done in 1/64 scale (and if they have been, I'll have to start looking):

Subaru SVX
Subaru Baja
1988 Pontiac Fiero GT
Chevy Beretta GTZ
Dodge Dakota 5.9 R/T

Here's my 2 cents worth....

I'm in no rush to see AW do international cars, at least not yet.
Sometimes I think we collectors want everything right away - and I don't personally understand why. Give AW a chance to get established, put product out there and then they can slowly and wisely expand the line. I'm all for it, I just don't see a need for them to rush it. It might be like comparing apples to oranges, but for those of you familiar with the Tomica Limited Vintage, it took Takara Tomy 7 or 8 years before they started producing 'non-Japanese' cars. Good things take time.

As for what I'd like to see...

Well, I'm not familiar with American cars, but I saw this car the last two days in a row and I think it wold make a cool 1:64 scale model. :)

Let's face it, Imperial is a marque that is sorely missing from the 1:64 die cast world. Auto World is the premier die cast company that can do a flawless job on representing these cars.
On Sunday, I attended the Fall Final races at Stafford Motor Speedway. In the front lot near the track entrance was this beautiful 1963 2-door. And look! --- It's an Ultra Red!!! :D

I prefer the 1962 with its free floating tail lamps on top of the fins but a '63 would be great! Perfect candidate for your Land Yachts series!
