Let's face it, Imperial is a marque that is sorely missing from the 1:64 die cast world. Auto World is the premier die cast company that can do a flawless job on representing these cars.
On Sunday, I attended the Fall Final races at Stafford Motor Speedway. In the front lot near the track entrance was this beautiful 1963 2-door. And look! --- It's an Ultra Red!!! :D

I prefer the 1962 with its free floating tail lamps on top of the fins but a '63 would be great! Perfect candidate for your Land Yachts series!
I'd buy it!

Impy Lone Star did the '63 Crown 2 door hardtop. How about a '64 Imperial LeBaron 4 door hardtop instead? Or, actually '60-'61 4 door hardtop.

Support your local demo derby.

I'd vote yes for any and all Imperials from '55-'75 with an emphasis on doing the body styles of '64'66, '67/'68, and '69-'73. Keep them as two doors, four door sedans or hardtops please. No convertibles.

Those last couple of pics are "muy-grande!" I can only see 1/4 of the car at a time on my screen.
It'd be nice if my computer re-sized and optimized pictures for my screen, like my phone does.

Imperials are nice, and I'd love to see some, in particular the '65-66 "Black Beauty" style....but there are so many other cars I'd like to see as well, even before.

First in line is a Rambler/AMC Marlin. I cannot beg any harder for one of these. Any year would thrill me to no end, I think the 67 would likely be the most attractive overall and reach a broader audience (and it hasn't been done before). I would personally prefer the 65-66 just because, and I think that one would attract a sizable audience as well.

Next in line is a Forward Control Corvair...any of them; Rampside, Panel, or Greenbriar. Personal preference is an 8 door "Ma Bell" Panel, but I think any of these would do well, especially the Rampside.

Next would have to be a Chrysler 300...specifically 60-62, preferably the 61 with canted headlights. All of them deserve the crossram 413 engine, which to my knowledge has not been done in scale. Convertible would be acceptable, but the hardtop would probably be more versatile.

Next would be either an early (preferred, 60-63) or later (66-69) Ford Falcon, ideally two door Sprints and Futuras, and/or two and four door wagons. The close relationship with the Mustang is not to be overlooked, the Mustang was no more than a rebodied Falcon when it debuted. Likewise, the Mercury Comets that were Falcon based (64-65) would be excellent choices. These are either completely overlooked or done so little and so obscure as to effectively be overlooked in the American market. Considering how many of these cars populated American roads for so long, to be ignored is just not right. They were favorites with hod rodding kids when I was a teen, and they still have followers today at car shows and such.

I know the Imperials are popular with the derby gang, and I don't begrudge them in the least. I just think there are "slightly" more worthy cars that need to be done as well.

For another Land Barge, either a 69-70 Lincoln MkIII, or a mid-50s Lincoln Continental would be most appropriate, although a 76 Lincoln Continental would be awesome as well. 76 T-bird would fit the category too!

There were no Imperial wagons. You may be thinking of Chrysler Town & Country wagons.

I'll be happy with any Imperials (none from the 80's please!). My favorite body style is that of the '64 - '66. This one belongs to my friend's brother:

I'll say it again... 1978-79 Dodge Magnum, Checker Marathon, 1940s-70s true-1/64 funeral cars, and maybe a Merkur XR4ti.

That doesn't come as much of a surprise. Elwood Engel was the head of the Ford design studios and responsible for the '61 Lincoln Continental design. Elwood would later move over to Chrysler and was the leading force in the restyled '64 Imperials while using the same basic frame as the '57 Imperials. The wrap around front fenders, slab siding, and thick set C-Pillars are but just three visual similarities among many between the 1st gen suicides and the '64-'66 Imperials.

I agree Wes. The '60 Edsel was actually a very good looking car. This wagon version would be great!

I would vote for most any of those imperials, preferably the more interesting and less typical front ends. The '74 would be the least interesting for me (sorry Zach) only because it does resemble a Lincoln and is therefore less typical. Very nice in reality...don't get me wrong. But in terms of getting some unique diecast pieces and great examples of automotive art (which the AW name seems to suggest) the earlier models would be right up there. Even the '73 has a pretty interesting front end.

And the Edsel wagon is very appealing!

I disagree. I see absolutely no GM influence anywhere. A little Ford influence, due to designer Elwood Engle, like mentioned before. GM could never make a car this beautiful! :)
