Some of my recent additions to the collection. Mostly replacing or completing models already in it.

Posted Image

- Gates for the Leopard A1 and A3 tanks. Ornamental pieces meant support the barrel in the packaging. Always missing with the loose models and in my case even in the packaged ones.
- A new trailer for my Lamborghini Espada with tent. Mine had paint damage and some broken parts so that's now solved.
- An Audi 100 LS and VW-Porsche 914 in "Flitzer" boxes. Replacing some slightly worse loose models in the collection.
- A Corvette Sting Ray with box. Again replacing a loose example.
- Finally the green VW Transporter T1 van that I had been looking for for a while!
- The Ford Granada with Zodiac as one of the last casts from the V-Series with the silver print wheels and the 300-numbering on the base.

Posted Image

- In the back row 3 models I already had but now managed to complement with their original boxes. Nice seeing as they're in excellent condition.
- A Ford OSI 20M TS with "Flitzer" box. I have an older dark red one already but couldn't pass this one up for the comparison between the two.
- A Binz Europ 1200L ambulance with the Mercedes hubcaps to replace my worn example.
- A Mercedes 250(/8) that was in the box for the 250 SE in the back row and turned out to be better than the one I had at home.

Very nice lineup of vintage SIKU! That is a maker I know so little of, so it is very nice indeed to see some very nice and box fresh examples!

Another update with the latest additions from the Houten meet and some buys over the Net.

Posted Image

- A Ford 17M Turnier Strassenwacht (ADAC=Triple A) including the load. Oddly enough I had the box already and found a mint model to go with it in Houten.
- A Mercedes 300 SL roadster and Oldsmobile Toronado in excellent shape with boxes to replace loose examples.
- A Lamborghini Espada 400 GT with "Flitzer" box.
- A Porsche Carrera 906 with box. The version with headlights and the early wheel-type. I've got one with the later "Flitzer" box already and there are big differences.
- Another Ford Granada with the 300-numbering from the V-Series completing my search for these two casts.

I'm in desperate want for that 300 SL. I wasn't even aware that anyone had made a Roadster version in around 1/64 scale until Guntownal posted his. It's very near the top of my short list of cars to find next. Lots of other great ones too, I also really like the green Audi.

Well I have both the Mercedes and the Audi in my spares now. So they'll be up for trade in the very near future.

Here we go again! ^_^ New additions from the Houten fair and an internet buy.

- I've had the Klaus Autoschaufler V 260 in the display case for years but now I've got a box with it.
- A Mercedes LP 608 D as a traffic sign carrier for the road works V 335 with box.
- The box for the Michigan 180 planer tractor V 326 has damaged cellophane but it is nice to have the box with the model I already had.
- A Zettelmeyer Europ S12 roller V 299 with the red discs and a P9 box.
- A Binz Europ 1200 L ambulance V 306 with box.
- Finally a P4 box that I've been looking for for my collection for while! In the box is a Ford F 500 with ore trailer V 315.
- A Ford Taunus Transit road works van V 323 with box.
- A Lincoln Continental Mk. III V 298 mint with a superb box.
- My VW 1200 V 230 has a little wear but I did manage to unite it with its box.
- Fiat 40 CA tractor with overhead loader V 238 with box as a replacement for my loose model.

These really look to be in excellent shape...and with boxes. Ecellent scores. I only have a couple of those you've shown, and in decent shape but yours look downright minty fresh!

I only have one V-Series Siku, the Ford Taunus Transit in gray. I got it for $8, as the seller didn't know it was a Siku, and apparently missed the little Siku logo on the bottom. In the same condition it retails for $30.
The
I'd own more old Sikus, but they are very expensive. In fact, the Ford F-Series Truck is about $100 alone, even without the trailer or box!

They all look great. A lot of the ones shown are on my "want list", and have been for quite a long time.

@Dean: Thanks. You're right, they're not cheap. However I've quit collecting variations a long time ago and strive to have one of each number in as good a condition as possible. I collect metal Siku models from the years 1963 up to 1990 and bar a few have a model of each number Siku has issued in those years. What I buy now is mostly upgrading to a better quality and swapping out some of the current models in my collection for identical ones in better shape.

@Cody: Wow, that is some serious high pricing you've got going on in your neck of the woods. It must be lack of availability that drive the prices up so high? To give you some comparison. A mint, loose F 500 here would do 25 to 35 euros. The set with the trailer can be had for 35 to 50 euros. Yes I paid a bit more for the set I got but still not the equivalent of $100 and complete with a rare box.

Very nice upgrades for your collection! Thankfully I'm not really interested in the packaging. It's nice to get them sometimes but I hate paying extra for the box when I just want the car.
Congrats on the new additions.

It's been quite a while but I've managed to cobble together some new additions to the collection again in recent times.

Posted Image

- A box for my #1321 VW Passat I policecar. Not perfect but still nicer than without box.
- A Mercedes LP 608 D breakdown truck with box. The box was missing in my collection and the truck turned out to be nicer than my old one as well.
- And the same goes for the Mercedes 406 D water rescue van.
- My Porsche 901 motorway patrol car is now reunited with the fitting box.
- Finally a mint Toyota 2000 GT with the matching Flitzer box.
- Also mint and boxed: A Ford T5 Mustang Mach 1.
- A Jaguar E-type 2+2 with Flitzer wheels and box.
- A Flitzer box for my Opel Rekord. Not actually correct as my model is slightly older with the R1 wheels but much better than without.
- The playworn Porsche Standard T Dieselschlepper that I've had for ages has now been replaced by a mint and boxed version.
- And to top it all off another great P4 windowbox. This time carrying the Fiat 40 CA tractor with planer.

Awesome scores! In particular the Mustang and Jaguar stand out to me!

I'm learning more about vintage Siku here in this thread than all before combined!

I just recently acquired the Porsche 906 in white. I have only seen silver before that. Is the white one older or newer?
