Auto World's 2010 Dodge Challenger is the car for today from Firehawk73.

Wikipedia.com

The Dodge Challenger is the name of three different generations of automobiles marketed by the Dodge division of Chrysler. The Dodge Silver Challenger was produced in 1959. From 1970 to 1974, the first generation Dodge Challenger pony car was built using the Chrysler E platform, sharing major components with the Plymouth Barracuda. The second generation, from 1978 to 1983, was a badge engineered Mitsubishi Galant Lambda. The third, and current generation, was introduced in 2008 as a rival to the evolved fifth generation Ford Mustang and the fifth generation Chevrolet Camaro.

The casting is nice...it was just the original MSRP that sealed this line's fate.
With patience and sale prices, I've collected 3 of the 4 colors this came in.

I need to find this one. The original price was wayyy to much, but the markdowns that were mentioned are very reasonable.

Me too! I just need to find the silver one and I will have all the colors. I do agree that the original retail price was the wrong direction to go but Auto World has corrected that oversight.

I think I've got the white one, or maybe the black, found marked down at a TrU. I agree it's a nice casting, particularly since I prefer the looks of the retro Chally to the retro Camaro and Mustang. I did get a silver Toy Fair issue from Pegers awhile back...that one is still boxed. (No tooling chips with it though...)
