I've had it for a few years, I got it in a lot of vintage diecast but I know nothing about it.

I'm at a loss other than knowing it's an MGB GT. My first thought was maybe a Mini Dinky, I know Dinky made the MGB GT, but I can't find a Mini Dinky version, and it looks plastic, and I thought the Mini Dinky's were metal. It's very cool whatever it is, the MGB GT is one of my favorite British cars.

I'll see about a pic soon but heres what it reads on the base

typing this as it is on the base
FREE WHEELER
D
DURHAM INDUSTIES INC.
MADE IN HONG KONG
MGB-GT

NO. 8012

And its all plastics, the seats fold forward, the doors open the rear hatch opens and the hood comes off.

I really like that

Looks to me like a copy of the Corgi model in approx 1/43 from the late sixties, although that didn't have an opening bonnet/hood.

These well-detailed plastic Hong Kong cars are pretty fascinating. I'm drawn to some of the generic-make 60s/70s European and Japanese cars in plastic and the 60s plastic Cragstan classics (especially the '41 Lincoln, Cord Phaeton and Mercedes Type SS tourer), which also came from Hong Kong.

Neat article, I agree with the one comment that the wheels are the only nice thing about it. but for me that's just because its not the type of car I'm into.

that being said if anyone might want this interesting little MGB I am open to trade offers. just FYI.

The model was not interesting me all that much, but I really enjoyed learning a little something about them, thanks for the research and sharing this.... that's one of things that makes Swfty's so great.
