Here are a pair of '62 Ford's from the Aurora Model Motoring slot cars issues. The cars are a Ford Country Squire Station Wagon and a Ford Sunliner Convertible. The wagon was one of two cars that my dad and I "hopped" up to use in the 1962 Aurora Model Motoring Grand National Racing Competition at the local slot car track in Moses Lake, WA. My dad ran the '62 Ford and I had a '58 Thunderbird. I will post pictures of it later.

Nice. My old aurora slot cars were unfortunately in my parents attic and my father donated a bunch of stuff to get rid of it. Should've grabbed them before that I guess.

It's neat that you've held on to these for over fifty years.

Are these T-Jets?

:toy: The Aurora slot cars I still have are the early issues known as "vibrators" and pre-date the T-Jet models by a few years. I think a number of the bodies from the vibrator line were used with the T-jet chassis. Years ago I had removed the slot parts from the bottom of the cars to use them as static models on an old model train layout.

What I like about these is that they can be both slot-cars and regular diecast cars with just a base swap.
