I managed to find an original box to go with my Charger for a reasonable price ($.99!). It came with instructions and an unused decal sheet. Looks great all together. I find very little online about the Lindy Charger.

I remember when I could find those kits hanging on the pegs of a small town drug store way back when. Because of that I have/had a number of Mini Lindy models in my collection. I don't think they always get that much attention because they were not diecast but plastic kits. Still I always thought that was part of the fun - getting to put these simple little models together. By they way, finding it with the box is absolutely awesome! :toy:

I actually found the car and the box separately about a month apart. Part of my lucky August. I love the old graphics and instructions. I had forgotten about the weights that came with it.

Essentially 1:64, let's call it pocket-sized or 3". Quite a range of vehicle types. I think the first sets were late 60's. Some are better proportioned than others.

I had several plastic 1/64 kits that were purchased from a little general store as a kid. I can't for the life of me recall if they were mini-lindy's or not. I don't remember the box. But i do remember them fitting together in the same way it shows on the instructions sheet. They were pretty cool in terms of detail.

Great score, BTW

I think the box size, design and branding changed quite bit over the years. They probably all came from Lindberg.

The later releases did not come with the metal weights.
