Looks good, but waiting for them to actually talk about the car and go over some specs.

I remember the excitement when the original Miata came out. Stopped at a Mazda dealer so I could take a test drive. Neat little car but just not the car to buy with a wife and two kids. :D On the other hand the Mazda MVP worked very nicely for us and the Miata the car to dream about.

Well, we know that it's losing at least 220lbs over the current car (which comes in at just over 2400lbs...so the new one will be in the 2200lb range!), has 50/50 weight distribution, and the engine is completely behind the front axle. Looking good so far, can't wait for more information. The nose of the car is pleasantly low. I don't know how that passes pedestrian impact laws, but they specifically addressed that it does last night. I'm excited! I didn't think we'd ever see a nose shape like that again from a road car.
