One of my "in the near future" purchases I hope are some of the Oxford 1/76th ambulances - I especially want to get a couple of the Bedford's to go with the Matchbox one. |

I'm glad Oxford is doing models that haven't been done in decades--well ever since the Matchbox regular wheel models in the '60s, like this one and the upcoming Land Rover/Carmichael FT6 fire engine. This is a neat old ambulance. I still need the Lesney RW version and the Oxford. Though I'm slowly completing my Regular Wheel list cheaply by buying lots, I still have several to go. Here's the available Bedford Lomas Ambulances from Oxford (pics from their site)![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() According to the Oxford website, a new release in this quarter of 2014 will be a plain white, red cross "Army Medical Service" edition in 1/76 scale. ![]() The first 2 (Hereford and Birmingham) are also available in 1:148 (N) scale with the St. John version next to be released.
